This past week was our anniversary. It was a big one, though every year I'm struck by how small that number is compared to others. It's me! I've been so busy. But I wanted to check in because it's October, and October is awesome.

here's what's been going on that's kept me away.

1. We're trying to convince nice people to let us adopt. This takes a lot of time. It's also stressful, exciting, stressful, intense, stressful, and don't forget exciting.

New relationships are exciting and talked up to be the best thing in the world, and there is magic to a new love, however, worn-in love is so very much better, and I'm reminded of that every time J and I go sailing ( Read more... )

So we went down to Titusville this weekend to see some manatees. The in-laws were weathered in in a little cove where the manatees apparently like to hang out. We could only see a few inches down into the very green water so we could get a real count of how many there were but we counted at least 10.
