Music. Couldnt live without it.

In high school I decided that very few people were worth listening too. Not because I went to a public school, but because I went to a very, very bad public school. My escape from the rubbish that was attacking me from the orophus’s of others (morgoth, by oriphus, I mean mouth) was implemented via a pair of head phones and an ever upgrading walkman/cd player/mini discman. Once high school ended and I was able to choose whom I spent my days with, I felt no real need for my headphones as there was nothing to escape. The need has returned.

I have been becoming ever more frustrated by the world and its inhabitants. Things, even those as small as someone pushing in line at the supermarket, can enrage me. Not enrage me to the extent where I fly off the handle and rip the persons face off, but fill me with frustration and disbelief. Not because I have to wait the extra minute to be served, but because people no longer have any common curtesy. They don’t possess the intelligence to consider others. Either they don’t consider them, or they choose not to. Regardless... It’s getting to me.

Unfortunately, common curtesy is not the only thing that’s "getting my goat about" (lucksmiths 3/16). General stupidity. A friend’s housemate recently experimented with substances that I wouldn’t recommend to anyone. She'd never tried it before and gave it a shot. She enjoyed herself, then decided to take double dosage FIVE NIGHTS IN A ROW! She had an equally stupid friend with her throughout this ‘experience’. In fact, the only reason the 5-day binge came to an end was because her equally stupid friend went to work after another large evening and fainted. She stopped breathing and had to be resuscitated before having her stomach pumped. STUPID PEOPLE.

Another friend’s housemate had a friend who predominantly lived with her parents on a farm. They had a sheep that had lambs. This girl decided that these 1-day-old lambs were so cute that she had to take two of them to her friend’s house to show everyone. These lambs ended up living in a carport for 2 days before dying. This friend then wrapped them up in carpet and dumped them along side a deserted road somewhere. STUPID FREAKIN PEOPLE!

More and more people seem to think its still a good idea to take substances over to country's with substandard legal systems. Corby was advised by her lawyers to enlist the assistance of a local daytime soap star to boost public opinion in Corby's favour. How can a legal system operate if it can be influenced by someone as irrelevant as a washed up day time actress?!?!? How can a legal system be influenced by any source, at the whim of a disgruntled (and amazingly stupid) foreign drug fiend?!?! If a system is that bad, with jails as bad as they are, how can people even consider taking shit overseas? Stupid people.

nuff said.

In other news, I have been expanding my musical bounds. With the list of latest additions sporting names like Interpol, RJD2, Snow Patrol and DJ Shadow, the word "eclectic" doesn’t seem to cut it. As always, I have Master st3vil to thank for the tunes, but more and more my tastes are being influenced by other people. A few months ago, I didn't see me sitting appreciating genuine Australian hip-hop. Funny how things change.

Topic change # 523.39 - I'm floating in life again. You know those times when you've kinda been taking it a touch easy? It’s either not working and barely going to uni or no uni and just working, or any combination that includes you achieving far less than what your able to. Yeah, I’m there again... And have been for some time to be completely honest. I'm intending to start an Arts degree next semester and this fact stops my current situation from eating at me too much. Unfortunately though, I think it is actually something to be worried about. There is a whole wide world out there and it seems that so few of us are taking full advantage of it.

Question: Is it a human ability or disability to always want more than what you've got?

This weekend will be huge. Sanity is not on the menu.
