Ugh, finally answered to this!martyrofbreadMay 19 2011, 15:32:51 UTC
Jesus loved summer. That warm, comfortable weather felt rather good. It reminded him of his earlier years and, as much as bad things happened then, a lot of good things originated from it and he loved remembering those.
And, going to the building rooftop at night reminded him of the nights him and Buddha were spending in Japan. He was starting to miss his friend a little but he wasn't going to let that put him down.
Off to the rooftop he went. And there was someone else there too. a rather unusual sight, considering that not many people appreciated watching the night sky like that.
He couldn't help but feel something different about this man. Something told him he wasn't human, but it wasn't that kind of celestial vibe he got from both Amalthea or Amaterasu. But, well, he's going to leave that aside. For now, this guy is just someone he doesn't know and, being the social butterfly he was, jesus couldn't help but wave at the bigger man and say 'good evening' to him, a smile on his face.
Being a little bit 'clueless', Jesus doesn't take the other man's stiffness too much into consideration. He tried to remember if he ever saw that guy around the building, but nothing came to his mind.
"Say, do you live here in the building? I don't quite remember seeing you before." He said, offering the man a smile.
"Ah, alright then." Jesus just wanted to be sure, He couldn't be so distracted to the point where he wouldn't notice a guy - and with an eye-patch - walking down the hallways of the building.
"Nice to see someone else enjoying this place too." He commented, just trying to make some small talk.
He's not on the building, whoops--sorry if I was vague! ;_;candidate_no_12May 20 2011, 15:17:35 UTC
On the roof, Wrath was not particularly aching for conversation. He would not have minded it if he knew that the young man was not hostile---but Wrath could not glean anything else from the long-haired man, however--as if his perception was blocked.
"It is pleasant," he remarked to the young man. Wrath was not entirely convinced of his non-hostility, and it unsettled him that he could not read the other. He maintained a guarded distance from the young man as well.
*giggles* I know he isn't XD I guess I was a little bit confusing too /shifty eyesmartyrofbreadMay 20 2011, 15:28:27 UTC
It wasn't even like Jesus was making an effort to block himself from being read by others. In fact, he was probably a little bit too open sometimes. But most of the time his own heavenly aura stopped people from probing into his mind and soul - which was actually a good thing.
"Summer is a great season. I... always enjoyed it with my friend back home." There was small hint of longing in his voice. Despite being so uptight and critic, Buddha was a great companion and he was starting to miss that.
For now, Wrath opted not to ponder why his perception was hindered. But the small hint of longing in the young man's voice loosened Wrath further. The young man was vulnerable--and the vulnerable are not sent out to apprehend a criminal.
Well, Jesus didn't want to bother the other man with his problems, but if he was asking...
"Well, yes. We lived together back home and we did a lot of different stuff everyday. Sure he's a little bit uptight and we end up disagreeing in a lot of things, but, well, friends often do that and we always make up anyway." He explained, knowing that Buddha would probably complain about being called 'uptight', and would proceed to tell Jesus how relaxed he could if he wanted to.
Wrath listened to the young man talk enthusiastically about his life on his home world. A varied life with two incompatible people who were able to work out their differences. Interesting to hear. He decided that the youth was no threat to him, and therefore eased up.
Good thing that explaining that wouldn't really reveal much about his tue self.
"We were friends before that and, well, we kind of needed a vacation from our jobs, so we decided to rent an apartment in Japan and stay there for a while." Jesus sounded exceptionally excited about describing that. He remembered when they were sent to Earth and how fired up he was to try all the new things the mortal world had to offer.
Japan--he had hard of it before, briefly. At least one human he met was from there. One thing that the young, bright-eyed man said made him turn his head.
"You needed a vacation--therefore you rented an apartment? But then would you not have to keep working to secure it?" Wrath asked. He was not deliberately being an asshole for once--more of he was a pragmatic man with pragmatic concerns. Particularly, what was he going to eat today? He had been eating at Daisuke Jigen's residence, but recently, Jigen was associating more with the other bandits, Lupin and Wrath's enemy, Ishikawa Goemon. He realized that sooner or later, he would have to move out or risk being found.
The Homunculus would have to find some other way to eat--he rather not steal his food if he could help it--how bothersome it was that Homunculi needed to eat as well, though the process of starvation was much slower for one. Still, he would rather not discover what that was like.
If he played his hand right, maybe he would obtain the mercy of this young man.
"We-Well..." He certainly didn't thought his explanation through. He didn't even consider that there would be holes in it. So the man's question kind of caught him off guard.
"You see, we've been saving money to do that yes?" Jesus laughed nervously, trying desperately to fix his mistake. "We never lived in that country so we wanted to make that whole experience more authentic. A-And besides I had help from my father." No need to get into details about who his father is though.
"I know it sounds unusual but it works!" He scratched the back of his head, still smiling.
Now that the young man had become nervous, Wrath thought he was catching onto him. The way that the brown-haired man covered his tracks like that--yes, it was obvious what he must be.
The other's tone had changed. He must still be telling the truth. Wrath still debated on whether he should admit why he had asked. Hm. He might as well--should the human turn hostile, then he would just flee. Fight the urge to beat him, and just run away.
"Because I am." He gaged his reaction. "For murder and assault. And I assure you, I am guilty."
And, going to the building rooftop at night reminded him of the nights him and Buddha were spending in Japan. He was starting to miss his friend a little but he wasn't going to let that put him down.
