Takuma comes in, also with a text book and a stack of papers in his arms. It's not all busy work for the students. The teachers also have a lot of preparation for exams like making it. But that's not what he was here to do. He was here to get some tea and grade essay papers. It was like sadism and masochism all in one.

The sadistic part was making his students punch out a four page essay on what aspects of sociology have effected them the most. The masochistic part was having to grade all of those papers.

Not only that, but he had been busy moving into his new place. But he would have to save that celebration after he finished putting grades on these papers and into the grade book.

He spotted Claire as he walked in and walked over to her. "Claire~! Studying hard?"

Maybe she did needed a break. The girl has been trying make sense of her math book and notes for the past hour. After pushing her notes and books in a corner, Claire made a grab for her coffee cup and took a long sip. At the corner of her eye, she saw Takuma coming over to her little corner in the coffee shop. She settled the cup back on the table before answering him.

"Hey. Uh, sorta. I'm this close to setting my math book on fire."

She was kidding but it was a tempting thought that she had been entertaining the urge for the last ten minutes of reading about the Pythagorean theorem and the other joys of Geometry.

Takuma let out a chuckle, knowing that she was just joking. He took a seat next to her and set his papers to the side.

He looked over at her math book and read over what she was studying. Well that was easy enough. Even though math wasn't his forte, he had enough home tutoring to at least know the basics of everything. If he didn't, then his governess would have probably smacked him with a ruler several times until he got it right. Oh the life of a rich vampire who is expected to know everything.

"If you'd like, I can help you with this", he said. Sure he had his own work to do, but hey, he was a teacher, he was supposed to help students in need.

"You sure?" She asked, gesturing to his own papers. "You look like you're going to be busy too."

Takuma waved a hand dismissively. "Don't worry about it. I can explain this to you rather easily! I'm not an expert at math, but I remember doing this when I was younger"

He scoots next to her a little more.

"Now then...You're doing the Pythagorean theorem. Simple enough when explained properly. In fact, when I was studying it, I made it into a song!"

She moved to give the vampire a little more room on the couch she was sitting on. Though when he mentioned he made a song about the Pythagorean theorem, she paused for a moment and stared at Takuma. Claire was trying not to laugh but a beginnings of a smile were starting to show on her lips.

"You made a song... about the Pythagorean theorem?"

Takuma nodded once. "It helped me remember what to do!"

The blond cleared his throat. "A squared can't stand up straight on its own~ So b squared gave it support~ c squared needed a home~ So a squared and b squared put their funds together to help it along~", he sang. He let out a chuckle. "I suppose it sounded better when I put the song together in Japanese"

"So then that song means, one can't be without the other or else c won't have a home."

Claire finally laughed out loud, shaking her head and burying her face on her hand. She dug out the Dreamberry in her pocket, searching for the recording function.

"You--You have to do that again! That was priceless!"

Takuma gave her an embarrassed smile and scratched the back of his head, letting out a bashful chuckle. "I know it sounds silly, but I was seven when I made it up", he said.

He waved his hands in front of his face, blocking himself from the camera's view. "No no...This is a private lesson! We don't need an audience"

Her smile looked innocent but there was definitely a devilish undertone to it.

"Hey! I was just going to record the song and play it when I need to review.

But that is not a bad idea."

She was mostly kidding, of course, but she couldn't resist. Claire pressed a few more buttons, switching over from making an audio recording into a video one.

Takuma stared at her for a moment.

"If I find out I'm being tricked, I'll...", he paused for a moment. "Well...I'll play a trick right back and I won't hold back!" And was he good at playing tricks. Especially scaring people.

He repeated the song. Even the little hand motions that went with it.
