[Ganymede, being a bit new to Somarium, and while wandering about to get a hold of whatever surroundings he could, had stumbled upon a coffee shop and noticed a blonde girl with notebooks strewn across the whole table. Curiously, he wanders over to investigate.]

What are you reading?

[She wasn't expecting anyone to go to her and suddenly ask what she was reading. Good thing she doesn't startle so easily. Claire looks up from her notes.]

Uh, my Geometry notes. Not exactly for light reading.

[A beat.]

[Just what is that?]

So there's school here?

[Wow. You've been in that garden a really long time, huh? 8/]

Yeah, it's math but with shapes. [She leaves it at that. Kinda struggling with the subject so she won't be able to explain it that well.]

Sure is. Just opened recently.

[Sena was thoroughly tired of studying holed up in his room all the time, so picking up and finding someplace else really sounded like a good idea...and he really didn't like studying in libraries, so coffee shop it was.

Looks like he wasn't the only one with that idea, though he grinned slightly at hearing her muttering.]

Test coming up?

[ooc: Sena's Claire's age if what's listed in her profile meme still applies, and he goes to the public school--so if she does too, there's a decent chance she could recognize him. :3]

[Claire welcomes the interruption. She fells like she's hit a wall anyway.]

[She takes a good look at the boy, her brows furrow. He does seem familiar.]

You're [Snapping her fingers, trying to recall his name] Sena, right?

[ooc: Yeah, it still does. O: Though Claire just had a birthday (she just turned 16 :P). Claire is indeed in the public school. They probably have a couple of classes together. :3b]

[He slings his bag down off his shoulder and sits down.]

The teachers really seem to like piling it on this time of year...

[ooc: Well, Sena is 16 so s'all good there. |Db lol if they share biology she probably saw Sena run out of the room like his ass was on fire last week. During dissections. Whee!]

[She isn't there for coffee but the people at the shop always like to give her free tea. She hears Claire before she sees her and walks over.]

What's wrong with school Miss Claire?

[Aww Alice. Claire puts away her notes before answering her.]

Nothing. [She stretches her back, rubbing the back of her neck.] Nothing, just studying for a really hard test, that's all.

A hard test? What is it about?

[Releases a breath.]

Geometry. And that's only one of the tests I need to study for.

Takuma comes in, also with a text book and a stack of papers in his arms. It's not all busy work for the students. The teachers also have a lot of preparation for exams like making it. But that's not what he was here to do. He was here to get some tea and grade essay papers. It was like sadism and masochism all in one.

The sadistic part was making his students punch out a four page essay on what aspects of sociology have effected them the most. The masochistic part was having to grade all of those papers.

Not only that, but he had been busy moving into his new place. But he would have to save that celebration after he finished putting grades on these papers and into the grade book.

He spotted Claire as he walked in and walked over to her. "Claire~! Studying hard?"

Maybe she did needed a break. The girl has been trying make sense of her math book and notes for the past hour. After pushing her notes and books in a corner, Claire made a grab for her coffee cup and took a long sip. At the corner of her eye, she saw Takuma coming over to her little corner in the coffee shop. She settled the cup back on the table before answering him.

"Hey. Uh, sorta. I'm this close to setting my math book on fire."

She was kidding but it was a tempting thought that she had been entertaining the urge for the last ten minutes of reading about the Pythagorean theorem and the other joys of Geometry.

Takuma let out a chuckle, knowing that she was just joking. He took a seat next to her and set his papers to the side.

He looked over at her math book and read over what she was studying. Well that was easy enough. Even though math wasn't his forte, he had enough home tutoring to at least know the basics of everything. If he didn't, then his governess would have probably smacked him with a ruler several times until he got it right. Oh the life of a rich vampire who is expected to know everything.

"If you'd like, I can help you with this", he said. Sure he had his own work to do, but hey, he was a teacher, he was supposed to help students in need.

"You sure?" She asked, gesturing to his own papers. "You look like you're going to be busy too."

[Now here's an unfamiliar face walking up to her, but for all that he's a stranger, he's sure got a swagger in his step and a confident grin.]

Why, hello there.

[And, apparently, an Irish accent. And while the words would be perfectly innocent coming out of anybody else's mouth, somehow he manages to make even this sound like a pick-up line.]

[Well, hello boy with an Irish accent. Meet a girl with a Texan accent. She looks up at the sound of his voice, raising an eyebrow at how the greeting sounded. Not that Claire wasn't used to being hit on random strangers. It seemed like anything right now was a welcomed distraction. So much for Geometry.]

Hi. [Tilts her head.] Can I help you?

[He looks as if he's trying to do a bad impression of somebody who might have been taken aback, and failing]

[She catches that, an amused chuckle escapes her.] No. There's no law or anything, so you're good.

[Gives a sweet little smile before reaching over to drink the rest of her coffee. Hmm, maybe she should get something to eat later? It's going to be a long day for studying. Decisions, decisions.]
