Though her message was cut off short as she noted the surprised look on his face, glancing between the 'alien' and Shizuo before it dawned on her.
Shizuo... knew the alien?!
....But, how, did that-
...Actually, that could only meet one thing. She clearly hoped this wasn't the case. She reaches up and pinches Shizuo's cheek, tugging on it right that second. When the face didn't remove and reveal a alien face beneath, she only looked all the more confused. Well, if he wasn't an alien, then how did he know this one?

He actually didn't feel any pain. In fact he hardly felt it at all. So instead of wincing or be like a normal person and give a shout, he just turned his head toward her in slight confusion. "...Huh? What, do I have something on my face?" he asked puzzled, first glancing at Celty and then at Toothless in case the dragon saw something, too.

"I thought you might have been an alien too. |"
Clearly Shinra had to be more specific when talking to her about aliens, at least now she's convinced he isn't one. However, that doesn't change the fact a real one like Toothless there sitting all innocently when he tried to eat her a second ago, was really an alien! So back to the matter at hand, "Why is there an alien here?! And that earlier creepy voice.." She shudders at the thought, "We're being invaded! |"

The dragon vaguely wished he could see what in the world Celty was doing with the funny thing in her hand, too. Her fingertips were dancing over the front of it at breakneck speed, and she kept presenting it to Shizuo every so often and it was really quite confusing. He trilled from where he was, somewhat put-out. Something was going on, a conversation was being had, and he was being left out. He could see that Celty was afraid of him, so he didn't want to approach and scare her more, lest she scream and Javert come out of the woodwork with his shiny weaponry again, but by Thor he was curious. He whined again.

But there was no time to really question why she thought he of all people was an alien. She was already sending him some more messages, so after reading the text, he blinked. Then he looked up at Toothless. Then to Celty.
And laughed.
"Haha, Celty, he ain't an alien!" He then gave her a playful punch in the arm before nodding to Toothless. "Can't you tell? He's a dragon. Not that I believed it at first myself, but he's definitely not an alien." Still chuckling a little, he shook his head. "Nah, there's no invasion. Not that I know of anyway. Don't know what the voice was, though."

Admittedly, she didn't expect him to laugh at her.
At the punch she was knocked off balance for a moment, though managed to regain it as she stood and rubbed at that arm for a moment. By now her attention was back onto Toothless, listening to Shizuo still as he spoke. A dragon? Well, that was the last thing she was expecting. By the way he was convinced on his explaining it to her, she believed him. Alright so that cleared things here, not the voice part, but at least this wasn't an alien. A finger scratches at the side of her helmet in embarrassment, "A dragon? I see, have you met him before? |"
Celty is a little more relaxed, a lot more than how she first started off, but at least enough that she isn't at all scared of Toothless now. Far as it goes for the voice, she'll probably ask about it on the network later.

Seeing that Celty seemed to trust Shizuo's word and seemed also to be much more relaxed, Toothless ventured a curious gurgling sound toward the pair, taking a tiny step toward them. Okay, now that you're done punching each other and brandishing light posts, can I say hi?

Toothless was about to get his wish. After the exchange of Celty, he turned towards Toothless and nodded his head toward her. "This is Celty," he said to Toothless.
If Toothless were to be given a signal to come on and say "Hi", that was pretty much as good as any from Shizuo.

It seemed like he was waiting for the 'okay' to get closer, which now that she thinks about it he had been that way from the start. Was he afraid of startling her? By the way she reacted he must have known something was up, it almost seemed silly of her to mistaken him for an alien.
This was definitely something she couldn't wait to tell Shinra about. With a tentative hand, she raises it and beckons the dragon to get closer.

Upon seeing Toothless stretch his head out and giving both he and Celty inviting looks to pet, Shizuo only stared at him puzzled.
"...I think he wants us to pet him," he said, glancing at Celty. He had tried to pet him once before, though it was more of a reflexive action back then. At that time he hadn't, because common sense dictated that petting a strange dragon you meet on the first day was probably not a good idea.
So after a moment of some confusion and debate, Shizuo slowly reached out and placed a hand on top of Toothless' muzzle. At least if he had misread the dragon's intent, it would be his hand chewed off instead of Celty's.

He wanted to be petted? Well, that was something dogs or cats would come up for, she didn't think a dragon would. Still, by the way he stared at them and nudging his head into empty space.. She watches Shizuo settle his hand there, nearly fretting over the thought of earlier when Toothless had opened his mouth.
After a moment though, it seemed fine enough so she does the same though smoothing her hand over the top of his head much like as if she was petting Shooter's neck or a cat. It was a lot more cuter now that she thought about it.

Oh yes. Dragon's got bitches.

He was in the process of giving the dragon some more -- albeit awkward -- head pats when Celty joined in. Once Toothless started purring, or at least, something like it, he glanced at her. "...Do dragons always act like cats?"
