How convenient that the Medicine Seller just so happened to be passing by that particular wall! Yes, quite convenient indeed. And while he barely glanced at the other, in that momentary flash in his general direction the Medicine Seller did not see the quite-human looking man sitting upon the wall. No, he saw the underlying form that revealed many interesting aspects. When he looked again he did indeed look like a normal young man. A small twitch of amusement caused his lips to curve upward ever the slightest bit, eyes narrowing in contemplation.

He looked about as lost as the Medicine Seller felt. He didn't make the first move to engage in conversation though, and simply moved to settle along the wall himself, dropping the large wooden box down with a thud. He needed to rest after all.

Niall watched the strange man, noting the tattoos and pointed ears, as well as the uncommon dress and that mysterious box. When the other settled near him he could only become curious, though his expression was as unaffected as the Medicine Seller's.

A simple, "How d'ya do?" was his greeting for now, his curiosity rightly peaked.

The Medicine Seller didn't respond for a good couple minutes, instead he was fiddling with a few things: checking and rechecking to make sure everything was intact. Inside his medicine box he found the dreamberry, and decided to play with that for a while too. In fact he was just generally ignoring the greeting if only because he felt like he didn't have to return it. Not yet anyway, not until he was sure of what he saw and what he was feeling. How interesting.

"Well," he offered pausing yet again, the click of the buttons being pushed on his phone being the only noise coming from his general direction, "Though I seem to be lost," now he looked up, but not at Niall. "You don't look like you know much of this Somarium."

The long stretch of silence was unique, but hardly bothered the faery. He could sit quite still for hours and be content. Quite honestly it was refreshing, almost like being around another fey. Niall couldn't quite grasp what this man was, but he was obviously not fully human. As he inhaled silently, no strong emotions were even evident. Quite curious.

And so they both lingered there affectively ignoring each other, both playing with their Dreamberries. What an odd couple.

When the Medicine Seller did speak up, Niall was ready to give his attention again. "No, I don't, I've only just found myself here," he answered honestly; not that he could answer any other way even if he wanted to.

"Name's Niall. What are you called?"

"My goodness," was all he said after that, seemingly amused by the idea that neither he nor the man beside him knew where they were. He was going to question the dreamberry as well but it was pointless when no one bothered to explain. As usual he'd figure it out eventually, it would just take a while. He assumed he had quite a bit of time on his hands, and he had to have been taken here in his sleep for some reason or another.

His fangs were evident when his mouth opened, allowing a small smirk to show over the normally placid demeanor. "I am but a simple Medicine Seller," which may or may not have answered his question.

Niall accepted the answer for what it was. Faeries couldn't lie but they rarely spoke truths either, and the vague answer again made him feel, strangely, even more comfortable around the odd man.

They lapsed into silence again until Niall discovered something interesting on his phone. Seconds may have passed, maybe full minutes. Neither seemed to care.

"There's a list of names here, I assume people you can contact. Your name doesn't show, only your title." Niall glanced to his side, eyes taking in the stranger again as well as that large box. Did he even have a name? Apparently not, or one that was only far and secondary from the title. Niall doubted there was anything simple about the Medicine Seller. But who was he to talk, sitting there in his Glamor?

"So there is," his lips curved upward again, that smirk widening when the man noted that his 'title' was the only thing present on the contact list. How amusing that he actually took the time to look, even more amusing when he saw it for himself. Of course there wouldn't be another name there. He didn't have a name, and he rather liked it that way.

He didn't say anything or even acknowledge the fact that his 'name' wouldn't be displayed. Instead he continued to play with his dreamberry until he ultimately got bored with that too. "Interesting," he noted and it was obviously debatable what he was talking about, "I've never dreamed so...vividly before."

A dream. Yes that was a possibility. Niall stuffed his own phone in his pocket and looked around the quaint village, noting the people wandering around. They were an odd bunch. People from times and places, clothes and snippets of language that shouldn't be together. A dream was highly likely.

"Neither have I," he commented. It didn't feel like a dream, but Niall had no better explanations at the moment.

Again he tried to get a sense of the Medicine Seller's emotions but there wasn't much there at all. That was somewhat disappointing.

Good luck trying to catch anything from him, the most the other would get was a rush of excitement if The Medicine Seller found a Mononoke. It seemed unlikely considering he didn't feel anything. Despite the obvious facade Niall was wearing, the could tell that under it was not one of the monster's he seeked to destroy, but was just as interesting. He had never seen anything like that before now.

"Perhaps it is not a dream," he shot a glance to the man beside him again, "One cannot dream of a face he has never seen before."

"Perhaps not," he agreed. Niall reached into the inside of his jacket and felt around, but found nothing he was looking for and frowned slightly before turning his attention back to the Medicine Seller.

"What's in the box?"

When the other man turned toward him again the Medicine Seller was holding out a pipe, offering it and the tobacco inside to him. What?

"Supplies," you dolt, "I wouldn't be much of a medicine seller without them, now...would I?"

Niall was caught by surprise at the pipe held out to him. He hadn't even see the stranger getting it out, nor heard anything. 'Simple' Medicine Seller my ass, he thought, quirking an eyebrow momentarily before he took the offered pipe. He preferred cigarettes or even a cigarillo, but this wouldn't be the first time he'd smoked a pipe.

"I suppose not," he murmured as he stuck the end of the pipe in his mouth. The Seller better have a light too.

This time the other man would obviously see him going through the medicine box, taking out a pack of matches and tossing it to him afterward. The pipe had been in his sleeve, so it wasn't much to take it out and hand it off. He might have been smirking though. You're amusing Niall, congrats.

"I wonder who else is...stuck here."

Talking around the pipe, he murmured, "Quite a few by that list of names." He lit a match and put it to the pipe, puffing a few times until the smoke drew smoothly through the smoldering tobacco. Niall pulled it into his lungs and exhaled slowly. There was something to be said for a pipe, he mused.

"Any names you recognized?" Niall asked as he handed the matches back. He took another long draw from the pipe and then, cordially, offered it to the Medicine Seller in case he wished to join in a smoke.

He took them easily, tucking them into the sleeve of his fabulous robes before he gratefully took the pipe offered back to him. A deep, contemplative inhale followed by a silent exhale came forth before he handed it back yet again. "No," he said after that long pause. "But there is something to be said for quite a long list..." now whatever could he be getting at.

"With so many people, come many emotions." many emotions that could create many monsters. "I wonder if someone was...expecting us."

Many emotions, though not from this one. Niall smoked quietly. The two lapsed into another endless silent, both thinking of the possibilities of their being here. Eventually Niall's thoughts came back around to the list. He passed the pipe off and got his Dreamberry back out. None of the names looked familiar.

Except for one. Interesting.

Niall returned the Dreamberry to his pocket. "Could be," he answered. "I'd like to think there is a reason we're here."
