Camping out?

Who: Zero and Harley
Where: A park somewhere in Somni
When: Backdated to the night of Rise's sleepover party
Style: Looks like prose.
Status: Probably closed? IDK.

Rise had decided to throw a girls-only party and sleepover... which meant that Harley was kicked out for the day, and the night, and probably a good chunk of the next morning.

He packed up what he needed -- his Dreamberry, two of those supplement bars, just in case, and two of their thin cloth shopping bags, balled up into tight little wads, clipped to one of his belt loops to keep out of the way, and a jacket, just in case, not that it wasn't plenty warm out. He wasn't sure yet what it was he was looking for, but he figured that while he was out, he'd figure out just what present to return home with for Rise. Spending a week thinking he was her "art director" had certainly given him a better idea of just what styles and colors she favored, and having gone through her wardrobe, he wanted to try adding something special to it.

Once it started getting late, though, his searches aimed for another target: somewhere to crash for the night.

Rise had suggested asking if he could spend the night with someone... but he'd figured out already, horses could sleep outside on a lawn. And the nights were so nice out now, and Rise had already vetoed the idea of letting him simply spend the night out on their thatched roof, or in their back yard, with Noireau.

Which meant that the thing to do would be to find some other place to sleep outside. Someplace out of the way. Someplace soft. Someplace private. Someplace he wasn't likely to be found by Embryon monsters anyone.

A park in a quiet, pristine little corner of Somni was located, surrounded by trees and bushes. The grass was pleasantly long, the lawn spongy and comfortable to stretch out on, and no one was around.

Harley found a patch of thick bushes, their leaves extending down to the ground, and crept inside to find a neat little gap between the bushes, even though their tops reached across it to touch leaves. He brushed a few stray twigs away with his hands, leaving the ground free of all but the thick grass cushion. It was perfect.

He pulled his Dreamberry out of his pocket and set it on the ground in front of him, just so it might wake him up if someone tried to call him, took a deep breath to make certain he was calm and relaxed. A few late birds chirped, a moment passing... and he let himself change, leaning forward to curl up on his stomach, and shortly fell asleep.
