Atsuro ☈ 005 - NEW WORLD - WORLD EDGE: WORLDS OF MY HEART [Concert]

May 22, 2010 21:55

Who: WORLD EDGE (rupturedbabylon, codenamehero, 47_l0w) and somarium
Where: ...SOME CONCERT VENUE.
Style: Either or ?
Status: OPEN LIKE A CONCERT.

The air had been charged with noise, lights, and nerves.

Staff scurried about the venue, running last minute sound checks and fiddling with the light settings. The amps were checked once, twice, and as many times as someone thought to check it. The bolts holding stage lights up were tested to make sure they were secure - no one needed falling stage lights during rehearsal, never mind during a concert.

And the nerves. Oh, the nerves. The nervous energy of the newer staff members could all but be felt as Gil's voice harried them as they did their jobs to the best of their abilities. Compared to them, WORLD EDGE running through the set list one last time might as well have been sunshine and rainbows.

And then they were ready.

Fans filed in and took their seats, the venue's atmosphere changing drastically from the tension it had been hours before to a sort of relaxed excitement, radiating in waves of chatter between friends. Atsuro sneaked a look at the audience from where he hid from their view, and a slow smile crept to his face even as butterflies quivered in his chest. Sure this wasn't their first concert, not by a long shot, but that didn't change it at all. There was less "fear of screwing up" than there had been the first time, but even so...

...Maybe Rita would come. He wondered where she was in that sea of lights that resembled a night studded with fairies. But whatever thoughts were cut short as the stage director's voice came over through the headsets and Atsuro found himself suddenly subjected to a rough hair ruffle. Looking up, he was barely surprised to see it was Gil. Atsuro managed to shoot them as confident a grin as he could pull, hurriedly smoothing out his hair...before the creak of mechanisms and a slow rising movement took over and the only thing that ran through his mind were the opening bars of the first song.

Fire exploded in front of his eyes, the stage settling into place with a quiet thump that he could barely feel through his legs. Their entrance looked cool - they'd shot it at the dress rehearsal to check. Heck, they looked cool. Their stylist was anything but not thorough, the three of them in complementing outfits that highlighted both individuality and WORLD EDGE as a group. Sparklers along the edge of the stage fired simultaneously, culminating in the opening strains of DUES -

He heard the voices, the screams.

And they were live.

Fingers skimmed across keyboard keys, vibrations of the song matching with the backing sent through the headpieces, performance emphasised by well timed light changes. In that moment, no matter what had gone on in rehearsal, before rehearsal - even that date with Rita a few days ago - disappeared until there was only WORLD EDGE and nothing but WORLD EDGE.

The final crashing note that sounded like the shattering of glass - the rightmost key on the top level of his keyboard - a wall of water cascading down in front of them, shielding them from the audience for a moment, the sudden darkening of the venue - a song well done.

"Welcome," the speakers played, "to NEW WORLD - WORLD EDGE edition!"

[[ooc: WOO okay so this is WORLD EDGE's concert. Also because it's Gil and Ruki gave me the okay it'll totally have a million special effects and fireballs and moving stages just because they can. FOR MORE INFORMATION see here!

As for WORLD EDGE...Something like FT Island rock ver. with the more mature feel of CN Blue combined with the extravagance of a KAT-TUN concert and with better outfits..

Some thread explanation. PERFORMANCES will basically be the members' performances, feel free to react (and fangirl/fanboy mm). MC will be where the group's main logging takes place, and the AFTER CON MINGLING is for, well, everyone! ...It can be precon mingling too, now that I think about it XD

HAVE FUN GUYS.]]
