[it was surprisingly easy to get away from Mille and his many sons, Draco found; getting back to his cottage, purely for the sake of familiarity, was just as easy. It wasn't like he didn't know his way around the village at that point, after all.]
[He walked in as if nothing were wrong, like he hadn't been mistaken for a 'new arrival' a number of times, and like he hadn't supposedly been adopted. Fingers crossed that Hermione wasn't out of her mind as well. There was really only so much weirdness he could deal with on a daily basis.]
