He felt her... almost like there was another heart beating inside of him. His blood heated in his veins and there was a warm prickle that began in his stomach before spreading through all of his body. If she was even three universes away, then he would know it. Kaname's head shot up where he was standing in the middle of the city with his pseudo-map in hand.

Curled into herself, Yuuki felt stunned when a voice from above her filled her ears. It couldn’t be. He came…? He really…was here with her? Head lifting slowly, as though afraid she had imagined the unmistakable deep tones of the one person she would never forget, she looked up. For a moment, just a moment, she imagined blood covering his form, the world still dyed with crimson, and then it was gone. Her large brown eyes widened. Her lips, chin, even her eyes... were all shaking as uncertainty and fear continued to linger in her expression. He allowed her a few moments to look up at him and recognize his outline before he kneeled down in front of her in the snow. He couldn't deny the suspicious stinging mist that filled the lower chambers encasing his eyes as he gazed at her. "Yuuki... y-you came."

He knew it didn't make sense to her, but for two whole days he had been trapped in a world without her. Without her smile... without her flushed cheeks... without her voice saying 'Kaname-senpai'. As much as he despised her having to call him that, God how he had missed it ( ... )

To say she was shocked would have been an understatement. Dragged forward, Yuuki found herself crushed against Kaname’s chest in an unrelenting embarrass. Alarm immediately swept through her. Never see me again…? Just…where were they? She had never heard Kaname sound so desperate before, or shaken. For him to make it sound like her alone, being the one person he couldn’t lose…was this not a dream? A memory assaulted her, of the two of them alone at the vampire soiree within Aidou’s basement. Holding her so close, laying against her like that…

When he pulled her back to look into her face she stared up at him in confusion. At first she’d been frightened and alarmed, but now those feelings were slowly fading to apprehension. What could have happened to have someone as composed as Kaname so on edge? He was staring at her as though he simply couldn’t understand either. When his forehead fell to hers, and he cupped her cheeks she abruptly heard the ice crackling about them. I-Is that…Kaname…? Startled, her eyes flickered up to him ( ... )
