It was fortunate that he had very sensitive hearing, or that timid little knock would have gone unnoticed from upstairs. Setting down the Dreamberry, Magnus lazily rose from the bed and walked over to the window, waving his wrist to open it without touching it.

Leaning his head out the opening, Magnus peered down at the door step, mouth curving when he recognized the mousy boy.

"Well, hello there," he called, folding his arms across the window-sill.

[ooc: And Alec came back to his cottage to be with Magnus until they move in a couple of days or something like that? If that's not all right, I'll just delete this and stay out of it?]

Alec felt it when Magnus's arms slipped out from underneath him, and he woke up, blinking tired eyes open. His hair was a complete mess, the sheets tangled around the lower part of his body, as he rolled over, looking for where the warlock had gone.

"Magnus?" he rasped, before clearing his throat. Then the warlock's voice reached his ears, and he looked towards the window, realizing that Magnus was not, in fact, talking to him.

He frowned. "Magnus? Who are you talking to?"

Magnus smiled, glancing back towards the bed. His eyes slowly scanned the newly-awoken shadowhunter with blatant appreciation.

"It's Pierce, darling. The cute little mouse-boy that Boris tried to pawn off on me. I invited him over to hang out since I refuse to use him as slave labor."

Alec frowned thoughtfully, trying to affix a face to the name in his mind. He remembered the "mouse", but he didn't remember ever asking for the guy's name. Then again, how many half-mice/half-men were there in this place? It had to be the same person he was thinking of.

He propped himself up on his elbow, sheets still tangled around his waist and legs. "Why is he here so early, though?"
