[And cue Austria's face turning somewhat pink; though he has gotten more accustom to displays of affection, he's still a bit awkward with them. Since it's Valentine's Day, though, he kisses Hungary on the cheek in return and then hands her the bouquet of roses.]
[Is obviously pleased at the sight of the roses. Hungary loves simple things like this as opposed to anything extravagant. She goes to kiss Austria again.]
Oh, how lovely! They're perfect, darling. Thank you.
Did you sleep well? You were up rather late last night.
[Well, he hadn't exactly expected Hungary to notice that he had stayed up relatively late baking last night, but he realizes he probably shouldn't be surprised she did notice.]
I do thank you for your concern, Hungary, but I assure you I slept perfectly well last night. I simply had a few things that needed to be finished before bed; stopping work in the middle of a piece one is working on is not the wisest of ideas, after all. [even though, you know, he wasn't really composing anything last night; he was baking cake.] I am glad you like the flowers, though.
