[Keiichi jerked awake as he made to get up, looking around wildly. Everything was... normal? So, was it just a dream. As if to make sure, Keiichi looked down at himself. Well, he didn't look injured but he wasn't sure what was going on. Looking to the floor he could see Satoshi's bat and that struck a cord inside him. Why would he have that if it was all just a dream?!

Keiichi just shook his head, grabbed the bat and began walking through the now desolate village. This was not normal at all and it only made him fear for the worse. Maybe... Takano succeeded? But wait, was he even alive right now or is this a dream?

All these thoughts just seemed to grow more and more making his head feel like it was being crushed by a truck. He couldn't take it anymore.]

What's going on?!

[Rena's ears immediately perked up at the sound of Keiichi's voice. Finally, the sound of another human being. Rena started to run around frantically, trying to find out where exactly he was.]

Keiichi!? Keiichi where are you?

[He's now running around desperately in the direction of which the voice came from.]

[She had to find him, that was the only thing she could think about right now. Out of the corner of her eye she saw someone dart behind a building. Quickly following after, Rena could now see Keiichi in full view]

Keiichi! [Without even thinking, Rena ran up to him and gave him a tight hug. She needed to make sure that he was in fact there and not just an illusion.]

[At this point he was sprinting, oh so very desperate to find her when all of a sudden he heard Rena say his name close by. He turned around just in time for her to hug him, which he fully returned. It looked like this was real.]

Rena, you're okay!

[He sounded soooo relieved cause he was so sure he was the only one left.]

[The relief in Rena's voice was also very noticeable. She slowly removed herself from Keiichi's arms, looking up into his eyes.]

She got Mion right after you and then I told the others to run off before Takano's men could surround them.

If it wasn't a dream does that mean that we survived? [As unlikely as that seems]

That's what I've been trying to figure out. It doesn't make sense, it doesn't.

[That's when it hits her. Takano. Her plans of terminating everyone in Hinamizawa village. What if...no, she didn't want to believe that. But, it seemed to be the only logical explanation in this very illogical situation.]

Keiichi...what if Takano succeeded. What if [As she speaks her voice starts shaking] we're the only ones left.
