Moments ago, the poor dormouse recalled curling up on one of the many rides belonging to the amusement park, the ferris wheel actually. The way it rocked steadily in the breeze during the night was terribly relaxing for Pierce and if it was left on for the night, he never really had to worry about Boris trying to catch in his slumbering state.
But this wasn't the warm, cozy or comforting ferris wheel that rocked gently through the night. This was really quite the opposite. Cold, frigid and growing increasingly uncomfortable as the dormouse was now shivering timidly in his place amongst the snow. How did he get here? or more importantly...
How would he get back home? His teeth began to chatter as his nerves soared and his temperature dropped. He found himself hugging himself for warmth afraid to leave the very spot he stood out of fear that he might not be any closer to home if he moved.
And what about Alice? His frantic mind rushed around in circles thinking up endlessly tormenting scenarios and 'what ifs' surrounding this frozen space.
"Ah-ahh..." He couldn't decipher whether he was on the verge of crying or sneezing for his face felt like a block of ice amongst his hands and feet.
