Let the brain breakage commence! madcuriosity December 7 2009, 00:50:04 UTC
"Somarium," she repeated. "What a curious name," she mumbled. "I wonder if it stands for anything..." Still, there were more pressing matters at hand. Alice doubted the gentleman wanted to her the ramblings of a little girl. So she was in Somarium... but he didn't know how she got here... well she supposed she couldn't expect the gentleman to know how she arrived. Basil might know though since she was with her upon arriving. If only the little rabbit would speak. Perhaps he would speak to her in private. After all she hadn't had much time to converse with him privately. But those were all thoughts for later.

"Alice Liddell, sir," she said at his question. "It's very nice to meet you," she offered a smile. "And what is your name sir?" she asked as she gazed up at him. He was a very kind gentleman and the roses were very pretty! She didn't think roses grew in winter like this! But there he had them! Oh she wondered what pretty garden they came from? Hopefully not the talking kind. But the ground was probably very soft so they were all asleep. Which was just fine by her.

She wondered why she was just only know feeling cold. Shouldn't she have cold as soon as she had arrived? More peculiar questions.

If it did stand for anything, Blood hadn't been too interested in figuring it out. There seemed to be a rather large number of intellects here, and if they hadn't cracked the code yet, it wasn't worth puzzling over. In fact, there were far more imperative matters he allotted his time to. Like contemplating how to escape this world that seemed to have no exit.

"Blood Dupre," he said at last, offering his hand before her name registered in his mind. ...My, that was very curious indeed. "Forgive me," he said after a moment, realizing the look on his face may have been a cross between intimidating and skeptical for a second too long. "I have an acquaintance of that name."

She took his hand when he offered it and then tilted her head at the mention of someone else with her name. Well... she knew that Alice was a very lovely name. In fact, Alice was quite happy to be called Alice. It was a much lovelier name than Agnes. Agnes was an awful name in Alice's opinion. Or Mildred. Mildred was the one of the worst names of all. But Alice? Alice was a simply lovely name. However, when the man said his name was Blood.... she blinked and her eyes widened. Oh dear. Oh she had never met anyone named Blood before! She hoped he was a kind man...

"It's very nice to meet you Mr. Dupre," she said. Hmm... Dupre... she wondered if she knew a Dupre but she couldn't think of anyone with the last name Dupre.
