Road let out a pleased little giggle as their doll struggled. This had gone much better than she had ever thought it would, a real pick me up since she had been almost ripped to pieces by those ridiculous vampires. Of course they would have to do something about his vocal chords. It had been a bit of a disappointment that hadn't put up more of a fight, but his shouts and struggles had more than made up for it ( ... )

Ah, the voice cracked! What a horrible sound. With an almost rat-like perchance for the far more pleasant sounds this world had to offer, anything that grated was certainly unpleasant. A strange cadence that he could never fully appreciate, despite his line of work. Perhaps that was why he preferred the gun. Efficient, a singular, uniform crack through the air, and then silence. A lack of a lapse of time between execution and the actual killing. Simple, and lacked in death throes. Something beautiful in it's display, but inconspicuous enough to escape detection ( ... )

The space between Road and their victim was crossed in no time at all and with one sweet smile, the candle in Road's hand was shoved into Victor's left eye, blood spluttering out of the wound as Road forcefully pulled the candle out, an eyeball stuck to the end of it ( ... )
