In the residential district, there was an odd sight on the street. Well, odder than usual.
A dome, seemingly made out of clock faces, stood in the street. A bevy of monsters sniffed around it, trying to enter and seeming confused when they simply exited the same way they came. Some of them roared, trying to intimidate whatever was inside into coming out. It wasn't working.
Within the dome, a woman was huddled on the ground, clutching her head, shaking in terror and whispering a prayer under her breath. She was wishing with all her heart that those things hadn't noticed her, and like always, she was worrying. What if those things were stubborn enough to stick around until she couldn't sustain Time Out any longer?
Imagining with uncanny detail what her death would be like, she started whimpering in between the words to her prayer. She hoped those things would go away soon.
