He hadn't had any destination in mind when he left Muladhara, only that he had to get away from everyone there. Perhaps it had been ridiculous to think that he could make up for the choice that had left Fred an orphan and the Lokapala without a worthwhile leader. What were you supposed to do when your sins were laid bare to an entire community through a simple flashback?
Roland couldn't look at the Embryon right now. Most of them didn't even know him before he arrived here. They hadn't fought together. He was just some guy that happened to share the same affliction.
The lights from the bar caught his eye and he stopped to stare at them for a good couple minutes. He'd been sober since he took up the Atma, but... what was he working for here? His feet were moving in that direction before he could stop them, and he entered the bar, sitting on a stool without a word of greeting to the barkeep.
