Actually, he really wasn't paying much attention, gaze glued down at his Dreamberry, gawking at the screen, wondering why names kept disappearing and appearing at random intervals. So--he'll just be bumping into your tail. ]

WAAAUUGGH!!

[well that definitely woke him up. jolts up, bangs his head against the branch above him, flails while losing his balance, falls over...and catches himself with his tail so now he'll be hanging upside down a bit]

[okay that felt a bit odd at first but once he starts actually man handling TYING it...well have a now fully awake Zidane jerking awake and looking down]

Miranda happened to be walking around, as usual. However, this was different; she was watching every step she took with meticulous care. She was sick of only showing her klutziness to everyone, so she was making sure she didn't fall by watching her steps.

However, she happened to walk into what looked like a rope. It was hanging from a tree. She glanced up into the tree, but couldn't see the end of it. Why was a piece of rope randomly hanging from a tree? Well, maybe someone had tied it there and forgotten about it. That was reasonable.

However, it wasn't doing much good just hanging onto the road like this. She reached out and grabbed it, wondering if it was tied on or just dangling from a branch. It felt...odd for a rope. Almost like fur. It was probably just unraveling. She gave a hard yank on it, hoping it wasn't tied on; that would lead to a branch falling on her, and she didn't need that. Things falling on her was never a good thing.

Zidane's tail had twitched a bit on first touch, but it hadn't been enough to wake him. When Miranda yanked on it, however, the surge of pain shot through the poor guy and he literally jumped awake with a yell.

Unfortunately that also sent him off balance so now Zidane was falling over and right toward Miranda whom he managed to see out of the corner of his eye.

"LOOK OUT!"

"AAAAAUUUUUGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH!" Miranda shrieked in terror when she heard the yell, and jumped backwards, startled. Unfortunately, her klutziness saw a perfect opportunity; she stumbled when she landed, and she fell backwards onto her elbows, her legs arched.

For a moment, her mind was incoherent with panicked horror and confusion; what in the name of Hevlaska had just happened to her?

But when she saw the young man lying on the ground, his...tail?...peeking out, all was made clear.

That rope...was a tail. HIS tail. And I pulled on it...This is my fault! Immediately, she was lost in her own massive, horrified self-loathing. Sadly, this was her normal reaction to things like this.

She jumped to her feet and ran towards the boy. "OHMYGOSHIAMSOSORRYIDIDN'TREALIZEYOUHADATAILANDIPULLEDONITANDTHISISALLMYFAULTBECAUSEIPULLEDONYOURTAILANDIAMSOSOSOSOSOSOSOSOSOSOSORRY!" she trilled in horror.

Holy--- Zidane thought as he scrambled back from the mad woman that came flying at him. He held out his hands in front of him to try and maybe fend her off. He's met quite a few different people but this was completely different!

"I-It's fine!!" he tried to shout over frantic spazzing. "It was an accident so it's okay! CALM DOWN!!"
