Who: Dist the Rose, Jade Curtiss
Where: Government District, Dist's Gorgeous Laboratory
Style: Third
Status: Closed (But you can send a note if you want in?)
Dist paced back and forth within his gorgeous laboratory. He had cleaned the place up rather nicely, or at least had ordered his little robots to clean it up nicely. He had turned the facility kitchen in to a little living quarters, with a mattress on the floor.
It wasn't as if he actually needed much more than that - any true genius would better spend their time working than doing such menial things as sleeping and eating.
At the center of the laboratory towered Dist's pride and joy - he most recent invention, and the one he meant to be the pinnacle of his brilliance.
At least, for that week at any rate.
It was a large robot, which was to be expected of the fontechnician. However, it had come a long way from just a pair of legs - it now fully looked like a mechanical dragon. Dist had decided to forgo his typical walking-ball design in favor of being daring and impressive, as his pride was on the line. And dragons were always impressive, especially mechanical ones.
The robot sat hunched in the laboratory, its mechanical eyes dull - a sign that it was deactivated. It had massive metal teeth and claws, and a strange collar around its neck capable of rotating, which would put a different colored embedded crystal in the front at any given moment. Its mechanical tail snaked around its body, with a drill-bit on the tip. It's chest was open, exposing the cockpit - it possessed both automatic and manual controls. He had learned from his previous Kaiser Dist at the Tower of Rem that he rather liked the front row seat.
...Well, except for the part where Jade proceeded to blow him up with his robot. Again.
Moving on.
Kaiser Dist SM looked perfected to the untrained eye, but a closer inspection revealed its fatal flaw.
Dist could not decide what color to paint it. At the very base, the robot revealed its mismatch of colors, as it was built from a mismatch of sources. To paint it would be to hide this origin and create a clear, wholly completed mechanism of destruction.
But what to paint it? Black, purple, pink? What would be the base, and what the trim? Should he try to break the mold and try other colors? But then, what other colors could compete with the beauty of those he himself sported? But perhaps there was some color out there, some undiscovered color of beauty, that he had missed out on? For his greatest creation (of the week), he couldn't possibly accept anything less than the best!
And until then, the Kaiser Dist SM was completely inoperable! What was he to do in the meantime, with cannibals and psychotic swordsmen running around as if they owned the place?
It was unfair! All of it! How horrendously unfair!
Dist stopped in his pacing to chew on his thumb, anxiously. "What to do... what to do... should I just settle? But then... but then what if my sheer brilliance is overlooked due to a dull paint job? I could never... I could never forgive myself!"
Even more, Jade was on his way at that very moment to visit! Clearly the Necromancer had missed his dear friend and was coming over to apologize for his terrible behavior. This was absolutely the case, he was certain of it. It certainly wasn't because he had been frightened by the barbaric display of the c-c-cannibals...
...No, most certainly not!
