The sun was shining down brightly as Edward headed to the village limit. He wanted to groan at his bad luck. The weather had been increasingly nice for days, and he still wasn't use to the idea of wandering around, letting his skin sparkle out in the open. In fact, he hadn't mentioned that not-so-minor fact to Estelle, and now he was beginning to worry how she would take it. Although, she had handled the news of his being a vampire rather... well.

He took a look at his watch, before looking up at the sky. He had worn long sleeves and pants that day, but he hadn't managed to find an umbrella or gloves to cover up the remainder of his skin. Part of him felt self-conscious as a result, while the other part tried to come to grips with the idea that people weren't as scared of him in this world as they were in his own. In fact, his powers and abilities were small compared to what some others could do. Many of the humans here were well equipped to deal with a vampire...

But Estelle was not.

He didn't care what she said about being able to heal herself, there was no way she'd be able to take vampire venom out of her blood. Not that he believed he'd go crazy and attack her... but he hadn't gone hunting in ages, and he hadn't met this girl in person. For all he knew, her blood could be as sweet smelling as Bella's or as normal as any other human. He certainly hoped it was the latter. After that crazy dream and his cravings for blood, he wasn't sure if he could spend a day with a girl with blood as potent as Bella's.

Bella...

Edward shook the thought from his mind, feeling slightly guilty. Was this betraying Bella... what he was doing now? He wasn't sure. He wasn't very familiar with women outside of the regular contact he had with his sisters and the Denali clan. He had no idea if this... this trip he was about to go on with Estelle constituted cheating or a date or... anything really. Hadn't he been told that this world was all in his head, anyway?

He sighed. Again. He was overthinking the situation... again! He owed it to Estelle to not dwell on the past or the future... but on the now... at least for today, while they were out together. He had frightened her terribly last night, and it had torn at his insides to see her try to hide her fear. He didn't know what today would result in, and he didn't know if it would be better for both of them if she were to leave today either fearing him or liking him (as a friend, of course).

And if there was one thing that frustrated Edward more than anything... it was not knowing.

[ooc: Do you want Estelle's blood to be a little sweet smelling to him? She doesn't have to be as potent as Bella, but I didn't know if you wanted her blood to have an affect on him at all?]
