Who: Rapunzel and anyone! Come one, come all!
Where: Around the streets of Espoir -- just follow the trail of hair.
Style: Either. Will roll with the punches. :)
Status: Open! Hop on in.
[The streets are unfamiliar. The houses and such are quaint enough, but Rapunzel doesn't recognize them at all from her admittedly rather brief travels. It has

Suddenly you have that horse's full attention. And he thinks you smell REALLY good.
And hopefully have some petting and treats for him! Because all yellowhead girls are supposed to have pettings and treats for Samson, of course. (After all, they always have so far.) This is a horse very proud of its LOGIC!
This is also a horse nudging at your hand, mind you PEEEETTIIIINGS TIME IS NOOOW ]

[It's definitely petting time, as she reaches out, first tentatively to pet along his long snout then a bit more confidently at his neck. Pascal meanwhile is peering at the horse from his new perch atop Rapunzel's head. Not Max, so he's keeping an eye on him.] Aren't you a pretty boy?

Where have I been? Well, ah... That's a really good question, actually... It's kind of difficult to say! Since I really don't know where I am. How do you know my name?

But NOOOOO, she had to go and hide first so he was protecting HER. Now all he can do is look guiltily at Philip and jerk his head meaningfully in your direction!
Luckily, Philip doesn't seem too interested in his horse's antics. He's too busy being bewildered about this situation.]
What, don't you remember? It's me, Philip! You're the best friend of my wife and we all live in the same cottage; how could I not know your name?
[...WAAAAAIT a minute.
She was gone, she came back... Hadn't he heard about this phenomenon before?]
...Don't you remember? [Only this time it was softer, more genuinely inquisitive; apparently not remembering was in fact a pretty likely occurrence after all, wasn't it?]

I... don't remember. [She lifts her hands to fidget with a lock of hair uncertainly.] Which seems kind of strange. I usually have a pretty good memory. I don't like to think I've forgotten friends.

...Except Riderman is the one who does the currycombing. CURSES, FOILED AGAIN
Meanwhile, Philip's just... bemused. He knows this girl, he even knows that hairfidget habit of hers; she painted him before he'd even come here, and now she has no idea who he or his bride are? She was the maid of honor at their wedding!
Still, even if she's lost her memory of this place in her absence (as apparently happens), he knew Aurora would be so very glad to have her come back to the cottage- and though it might take a bit of adjusting again, so would Rapunzel.
So now, all he had to do was convince a naive and wide-eyed young girl to come back to his place and keep her there, for the benefit of a mysterious and unknown (to her) figure.
This sounds like a job for an evil, evil man Disney prince!]I'm told this occasionally happens to people, who leave this place and come back. It's ( ... )

Rapunzel is unaware of just how familiar she is. Her own gaze is fixed on his face, green eyes roaming over his features as though looking desperately for something familiar, that should be familiar.
But she's coming up blank. Very very blank. She keeps a hand on Samson's neck, almost not realizing it, fingers petting over his fur while she considers this, brow furrowed just slightly in thought.]
If this is a dream world then I-- [She cuts off all at once when she has a cloak draped about her. Suddenly much warmer, she smiles gratefully, pulling it closer about her shoulders.] This is awfully real if it's a dream. But thank you. You said it's Philip, right? I'd say it's nice to meet you, but it sounds like I'm kind of late on that by just a little.
[Pascal makes a move then, skittering down Rapunzel's arm, up Samson's neck, down along his nose to leap towards Philip's chest so he can eye him closely, chirping and cooing sternly. But he seems satisfied after a moment and perches ( ... )

And when Philip realized how he cut her off, he blushed a little.] I didn't mean to interrupt, but you just looked so cold. And no, you're not dreaming me any more than I'm dreaming you; I personally find it easier to just think of it as an actual place that's reached by dreaming.
[That WAS what she was about to ask about, right?]
Heh, it's no concern. You could say it gives me a second chance to make a first impression, hmm? [At which point he got ambushed (and... scolded?) by the chameleon, but he recovered fairly well and grinned at the lizard sitting on his shoulder.]
Good to see you too, Pascal. Thanks again for your help in my wedding, by the way.

Rapunzel shook her head quickly.] Oh no, you didn't! And believe me I was. This is really nice of you. [She shrugged her shoulders a bit to indicate the borrowed cloak.] And I guess it does, doesn't it? Well so far so good, as second first impressions go!
[Pascal nods a bit at that, a cheery little gesture.]

Philip gave a bashful smile in response to her complimentary responses, glancing away for a moment.] It was nothing; we've been friends for a while. Heh, you even healed me from a burn once! [He doesn't have to keep that a secret around HER, right? Especially since he didn't say anything about how?
But hey, should probably get on that 'wickedly conniving an innocent girl into his pad' thing.] I know my wife Aurora would be so glad to see you again; she's missed you a lot. Maybe we could go see her after we get you some shoes?
[Just because his cloak is big enough on her that she can stand on it, doesn't mean it's good for walking after all. Philip has been getting all too used to taking care of barefoot girls.]
Reply
For now she blinks a bit at the mention of healing. She smiles though.] Really? Well I'm glad to hear I was helpful. But... yes, I'd like that! I feel awful that I don't remember, but even so, I want to see her.
[She laughs a sheepish little laugh.] Yeah... shoes might be a good idea first.

VICTORY! Now to seal the deal.] Well, you can ride Samson until we get to the cobbler; he's nice and warm, and it looks like you two have rekindled your friendship already. Meanwhile I can lead and bring Pascal along; I'm sure he wants to keep a close eye on the situation!
[So here, have a lift up to Samson's seat as if you weighed nothing at all. Because all that romantically carrying Aurora around does wonders for a prince's musculature!]

[As for Pascal, the chameleon makes sure he's got a good perch on Philip's shoulder and nods definitively. That's right. He's going to make sure this is all on the up and up, little enforcer that he is.]

[What? CARROT? CARROTWHERE WHERE IS THE CARROT- Oh, you dirty trickster, Riderman. (Also, Samson wants to make it clear that he would be eating OUT of your hand, not eating your hand. That would be bad and wrong and lead to less carrots overall, and he totally doesn't do it anymore.
As for impressed, you certainly should be! PHILIP is the Disney Hero Who Actually Does Something, after all. Unlike some... other 'heroes' that shall go unnamed.] In which case, I'm glad for their sake.
Alright, Pascal; shall we go? I'll seek out the shop, and you can keep watch for hostile elements! [It'll give him something to do, right?
And off they went, in search of sensible shoes!]

[Smiling again, Rapunzel lets her mind wander just a bit as she tries to put this all together in her head. Pascal meanwhile draws himself up to his full lizardy height and makes a crisp little salute. Hostile elements. He's on it. He sees all. Hears all. Fights for justice. Basically, he's batman with a few very minor differences.]
