Who: Rapunzel and anyone! Come one, come all!
Where: Around the streets of Espoir -- just follow the trail of hair.
Style: Either. Will roll with the punches. :)
Status: Open! Hop on in.
[The streets are unfamiliar. The houses and such are quaint enough, but Rapunzel doesn't recognize them at all from her admittedly rather brief travels. It has

Rapunzel is unaware of just how familiar she is. Her own gaze is fixed on his face, green eyes roaming over his features as though looking desperately for something familiar, that should be familiar.
But she's coming up blank. Very very blank. She keeps a hand on Samson's neck, almost not realizing it, fingers petting over his fur while she considers this, brow furrowed just slightly in thought.]
If this is a dream world then I-- [She cuts off all at once when she has a cloak draped about her. Suddenly much warmer, she smiles gratefully, pulling it closer about her shoulders.] This is awfully real if it's a dream. But thank you. You said it's Philip, right? I'd say it's nice to meet you, but it sounds like I'm kind of late on that by just a little.
[Pascal makes a move then, skittering down Rapunzel's arm, up Samson's neck, down along his nose to leap towards Philip's chest so he can eye him closely, chirping and cooing sternly. But he seems satisfied after a moment and perches atop the eye candy's prince's shoulder.]

And when Philip realized how he cut her off, he blushed a little.] I didn't mean to interrupt, but you just looked so cold. And no, you're not dreaming me any more than I'm dreaming you; I personally find it easier to just think of it as an actual place that's reached by dreaming.
[That WAS what she was about to ask about, right?]
Heh, it's no concern. You could say it gives me a second chance to make a first impression, hmm? [At which point he got ambushed (and... scolded?) by the chameleon, but he recovered fairly well and grinned at the lizard sitting on his shoulder.]
Good to see you too, Pascal. Thanks again for your help in my wedding, by the way.

Rapunzel shook her head quickly.] Oh no, you didn't! And believe me I was. This is really nice of you. [She shrugged her shoulders a bit to indicate the borrowed cloak.] And I guess it does, doesn't it? Well so far so good, as second first impressions go!
[Pascal nods a bit at that, a cheery little gesture.]

Philip gave a bashful smile in response to her complimentary responses, glancing away for a moment.] It was nothing; we've been friends for a while. Heh, you even healed me from a burn once! [He doesn't have to keep that a secret around HER, right? Especially since he didn't say anything about how?
But hey, should probably get on that 'wickedly conniving an innocent girl into his pad' thing.] I know my wife Aurora would be so glad to see you again; she's missed you a lot. Maybe we could go see her after we get you some shoes?
[Just because his cloak is big enough on her that she can stand on it, doesn't mean it's good for walking after all. Philip has been getting all too used to taking care of barefoot girls.]

For now she blinks a bit at the mention of healing. She smiles though.] Really? Well I'm glad to hear I was helpful. But... yes, I'd like that! I feel awful that I don't remember, but even so, I want to see her.
[She laughs a sheepish little laugh.] Yeah... shoes might be a good idea first.

VICTORY! Now to seal the deal.] Well, you can ride Samson until we get to the cobbler; he's nice and warm, and it looks like you two have rekindled your friendship already. Meanwhile I can lead and bring Pascal along; I'm sure he wants to keep a close eye on the situation!
[So here, have a lift up to Samson's seat as if you weighed nothing at all. Because all that romantically carrying Aurora around does wonders for a prince's musculature!]

[As for Pascal, the chameleon makes sure he's got a good perch on Philip's shoulder and nods definitively. That's right. He's going to make sure this is all on the up and up, little enforcer that he is.]

[What? CARROT? CARROTWHERE WHERE IS THE CARROT- Oh, you dirty trickster, Riderman. (Also, Samson wants to make it clear that he would be eating OUT of your hand, not eating your hand. That would be bad and wrong and lead to less carrots overall, and he totally doesn't do it anymore.
As for impressed, you certainly should be! PHILIP is the Disney Hero Who Actually Does Something, after all. Unlike some... other 'heroes' that shall go unnamed.] In which case, I'm glad for their sake.
Alright, Pascal; shall we go? I'll seek out the shop, and you can keep watch for hostile elements! [It'll give him something to do, right?
And off they went, in search of sensible shoes!]

[Smiling again, Rapunzel lets her mind wander just a bit as she tries to put this all together in her head. Pascal meanwhile draws himself up to his full lizardy height and makes a crisp little salute. Hostile elements. He's on it. He sees all. Hears all. Fights for justice. Basically, he's batman with a few very minor differences.]

[See? The yellowhead gets it, why doesn't everyone else? Why do humans not wend in wains toward Samson's stall, carrying delicious crunchy tribute
Stifling a chuckle at Pascal (Pfft, Batman totally wishes he could change colors) and holding the lead rein, Philip takes them over several blocks to the man he'd been recommended to for boots. He doesn't know what they have in lady's slippers, but the goal right now is warmth right?]
All right, I daresay this is the place! We can thank Pascal for ensuring we arrived in one piece, but now we just need to get you inside. [You don't mind being carried in princess-style, right Rapunzel? Because that's what is looking to happen now. Philip doesn't want to risk your toes!]

[Pascal chirps proudly and pats Philip's shoulder. You're all right, mate. Chameleon-approved.]

[Carrying blondes around= Philip's area of expertise, after all. But he'll go back and start hauling up hair next (paying CAREFUL attention to which end is attached to her scalp, of course; he's just got his Chameleon-Approval and doesn't want to lose it!) so that the door can be closed.
Because Samson would rather stay outside ANYWAY. Humph.
Still, by the time all the hair is inside, Rapunzel's already having to confront a twinkly-eyed little round man with a circle of white hair surrounding his gleaming bald head.]
Hello, hello! I take it you could use some shoes, young miss?
Reply
Of course, just as she decides this, there's a little old man. She smiles and glances down to her bare feet. Underdressed.] Yeah, I think that'd probably be a good idea. It's pretty cold out.
Reply
Although some cookies might be nice, too.
Meanwhile, the little shoemaker is trying to chivvy her into a chair so he can pick up said feet and measure them.]
Oh yes, yes indeed; much too cold for a young lady who spends all her time indoors. You can tell a lot about a person through their feet, you know; these may have seen a lot of walking, but they've been protected mighty well.
Hmm-hmm HMM, let's see... [The old man slipped behind the counter again, puttering around for a few moments to collect some shoeboxes before coming back.
How's about something like this? No, no, too heely; let's move on. Perhaps these might do the job? No, too fluffy and we need something that will stand for a bit harder usage. Now, what's just right for the circumstances...
[Philip leaned over with a bit of a smile, whispering as the shoemaker went back again.] He seems to like fitting the person to the shoe, but I can hardly argue with the results.
[Considering the intricately tooled leather riding boots that were on HIS feet, one would certainly hope not!]

But first she finds herself sat on a chair and blinking at the shoemaker as he starts. She oohs a bit at the first shoes, but those heels do look intimidating.
She glances back up at Philip.] Looks like he knows what he's doing!

You’ll have no argument from me ther- ah, looks like he found something.
[Indeed, the little old shoemaker came back in with face alight, VERY confident in the box he held in his hands.]
Haha, I’d almost forgotten I made these. Come now, let’s try the fit!
[Squatting on his fitting stool, he flipped off the box to reveal a pair of interestingly crafted boots to try out. And picking one of them up, he moved to ease it onto Rapunzel’s bare foot; as far as Philip could see, it looked to be a perfect fit.]
