The lake was, apparently, the perfect place for New Years Eve. While Takuma had done the majority of the work, Itachi had aided a bit in preparations to make sure everything was as the blond had wanted it. When Itachi came in to help at the later half of the affair, he had been dressed and ready.
He wondered how Kamui would look in his own yukata... if he would wear it. For now, Itachi was adjusting the last of the
lanterns in one of the trees, dusk settling over the lakeside. Soon enough, they would be his only means of light. He was starting to regret not bringing Hugin and Munin along with him, but he didn't know if they would be in the way or not.
Seeing the lanterns made Itachi feel a lot of things. It was a strange mess of new years traditions, but he didn't mind it. He gazed to the lanterns before closing his red eyes, allowing himself to lull off in thought as he stood in his
pale yukata underneath the golden glow. When was the last time he had been able to do something like this? He remembered New years would sometimes pass him by all together. Once, he and Kisame had been travelling, and they could hear the fireworks popping in the distance as they moves swiftly from town-to-town, the explosions echoing in the cold night. But... here he was, celebrating it.
Takuma had laid out a blanket close to the water. There was a small table off to the side filled with a few finger foods and disposable plates for them to eat off of. A small box of sparklers sat off to the side, as well as being filled with paper talismans and pens to write new years wishes on.
It didn't take long for the darkness to start seeping into the Somarium sky.
