Elliot was in bed, practically cocooned in blankets and still shivering. For the first time since as far back as he could remember, he felt so utterly wretched that he couldn't find the energy to even make an attempt at looking dignified.
As much as he had tried to deny he was falling ill, more to himself then anyone else, he finally reached a point where he was forced to admit he was getting far worse then he'd expected. He'd talked tough and said he'd be fine without any medicine, but that was before he realized just how bad the fever was going to feel. He was burning up, but freezing cold at the same time. He was being overwhelmed by complete exhaustion, and no matter what he did, moving even the slightest bit hurt. Even with as miserable as he was feeling though, the last thing he wanted to do was sleep. As bad as it was, the nightmares would be worse.
