[Jubei sometimes wondered when senility would finally start to creep up on him. That mystery was now solved.]
[Where on earth was he? It had been almost 90 years since he'd seen a little country village like this one. No one had been able to live in a place so close to the ground since the Black Beast - the seithr hanging in the air would have choked them to death before they could even build it.]
[Funny thing was, there didn't seem to be any seithr here.]
[On top of that, there was now a cell phone into his pocket. What exactly he wanted with such a thing was beyond him, but since someone had gone to all the trouble of slipping it to him, he decided he might as well hang on to it. Maybe it held some of the answers he was looking for, but damned if he could use those tiny little buttons. It was probably just quicker to use the direct approach anyway.]
