Hence why the tall white-haired man was leisurely browsing the market in the village, hunting down the spices and other ingredients needed to make a huge pot of the stuff, which would probably last a week or so, saving him the chore of cooking or ordering out.
Absent of trademark hunting regalia - the red-and-black ensemble, along with brightly glowing demonic sword - he'd opted to bring along just one of the twin pistols, snugly nestled beneath his plain black biker jacket. White t-shirt, faded jeans and nondescript boots completed the look, rendering him just another human, save for what roiled within his mixed blood.
And it was that blood that clarioned in his blood, he reaching for that black pistol even as a sudden gust of wind stirred platinum locks and hard blue eyes locked on the newcomer - who just appeared near the fruit stand- , as did the sights of that massive hand-canon.
"...what the fuck!"
[ooc: I'm sure Castiel would be able to sense Dante's devil blood; I'm cool with it. ♥]

"That," Castiel gave a pointed stare at the gun, "would be stupid."
He could have elaborated that guns, rock salt or knives didn't work too well against angelic beings, but he saw no need to give the other party any more information than necessary.

"Yeah. Materializing outta nowhere and shockin' a man ain't exactly smart...pal."
An unheard snarl reverberated in Dante's ears, but he was hardly a rank amateur to just shoot first and sift through the pieces later. No, he'd lived too long for that, despite the human in his blood.
"Back off."

Trivial, but Castiel liked particularities. Technically, he just traveled faster than humans could comprehend. The snap of the hammer would have worried most people, but Castiel continued to stand there, unperturbed. If his face showed anything, it would have been the slightest look of pity in his eyes. There was far too much suspicion in the stranger.

In all honesty, Dante didn't give a shit how this....being had "appeared", the problem was that he had and the demon within didn't like one little bit. The devil hunter had hunted his share of creatures, both of the human world and the other, and this here "dude" was definitely giving off that "other" vibe.
Big time.
"I asked nicely," he intoned in a level voice. Well, nice for him, anyway. "Let's not make this...unpleasant, yeah?" An eyebrow arched in minute irony. "Bullets might not do much," testament to the fact he knew this bloke wasn't a mere human, "but I guaran-damn-tee they won't do ya any good, pal."

But Castiel got the message. Even Dean had wasted around two rounds of rock salt before Cas understood that people were generally wary of strangers in trenchcoats. Castiel frowned, noting the undeniable tone of disrespect in the stranger's voice. After dying, being brought back and stopping the apocalypse, the very least people could do was show a modicum of respect.
"No, I think this situation is unpleasant enough as it is. I'll leave, but as a warning for next time-" Castiel's voice dropped a pitch. "I would strongly recommend using a more respectful tone, demon."

"Don't do me any favors, pal. And if you can't see past the fuckin' demon, you're no good to me anyway. So just toddle off and find you some orphans t' save, huh?"
Bitter? Yeah. It wasn't so much the presence as it was the instant judgment afforded. He couldn't help what he was, and a lifetime of having to defend that fact, both physically and mentally, had left cruel marks on the man. He'd been long resigned to his fate, didn't question it, didn't even mind it, but be damned if some jackass with a complex just whooshed into being and branded him nothing more than a demon.
Hell'd freeze first.

"You haven't given me any reason to look past what you are. Perhaps you should take a good look at yourself, then ask what other people would see first."
Even if Dante replied, Castiel didn't hang around long enough to hear. With a slight gust and the sound of invisible murmuring, Castiel 'whooshed' out.
