OH WOW LOOK AT HOW LATE THIS IS 8(

[Mithos hears that knock, unsure if he should answer his door. He really doesn't want to be bothered right now, but since he's manipulated his way back onto Lloyd's good side, he has to yet again keep up appearances.

He hesitantly opens the door, trying to keep a mutual expression as he sees who's on the other end of it despite the uncomfortable feeling within him.]

...Genis...

[ Genis doesn't know everything about Mithos. For the most part, he's happily unaware that he's Yggdrasill and intends to keep it as such for as long as he could. Not that he would appreciate being manipulated as well. You are still his friend, Mithos. D: ]

Mithos! [ Lloyd had told him where he lived, he was surprised it took him this long to come visit. ] I wasn't sure if Lloyd knew what he was talking about when he said you lived around here.

[Something pulls and tears at him, seeing Genis in front of him. Hearing his voice. The other boy is the only half-elven friend near his age he's ever known, and he chose Lloyd over him. Not that Genis knows that, but there's an uncomfortable feeling rising in Mithos' stomach and he can't shake it off.

He had convinced himself that Genis didn't matter, but now... now he had to pretend to be the kind half-elven youth they found amongst those flames again. Now he had to pretend to be the Mithos who was Genis' friend again.

Well, sometimes he is right. [He forces a laugh--it disgusts him to say. This entire situation disgusts him.]

[ At least Genis doesn't know about your true identity...yet, at least. He still considers you one of his closest friends, Mithos. D: Genis didn't think of choosing one or the other, because both of them were dear to him. You are very dear to him, Mithos.

He didn't know he was pretending. For the most part, he believed Mithos was happy to see him. ]

At least you'll admit to that. [ Because he won't. :| Even if it was true. ] Can I come in? If not that's okay. But...[ He pauses for a moment, smiling at him. ] I've been wanting to see you since I got here.

[The response had been automatic, and that worries Mithos. He shouldn't want to see Genis. He shouldn't be happy that the other half-elf wanted to see him so badly. Genis is an enemy, he didn't mean anything to Mithos. Mithos had only be pretending, he's only pretending now...]

[ Genis takes a step in, still holding the notebooks that he was recording the data of Somarium he had been collecting throughout the day of him just wandering around the town. ] What have you been up too? [ He smiles as he looks around the place Mithos was staying in. ]

I haven't been up to much, to be honest. [He's mostly been avoiding people.]

[ Why? You're so amazing, you're lucky we didn't go with mithos_fanboy as Genis's username. The half-elf frowns a bit as he looks on at his friend. ] Really? It seems like everyone is up to something around here. I wou--[ He sort of hoped that Mithos was up to something. He wouldn't feel so bad that it took him this long to get there. ]

[He's still not sure entirely how to feel about Genis even being here, even if the fight is somewhat one of subconscious.]

It's not really important. [ He grins a bit. ] I was just...hoping you were like the others. Lloyd has friends I don't even know. And I've barely seen any of the others. [ He was hoping you were more social. But at the same time, he was happy that you haven't been. Selfish? N--Yes, totally. ]

Why would you hope that? If I were, I probably wouldn't be able to see you as much as I have, which isn't a lot...

[Trying desperately to ignore and deny how nice it is to have his fri--Genis around again.]

[ He pauses for a brief moment, thinking about that for a moment. ] You're right.

We already haven't seen a lot of each other as it is. If there were anyone else then we'd never see each other. [ And Genis couldn't stand the thought of that. Excuse us, he has best friend envy right now when it comes to Lloyd. ]

[Smiles.] So isn't it better that I haven't been out much?

[ He takes a moment, before smiling a little. ] Ye--No. You've been here much longer than I've been here. It probably would've been easier for you if you'd made a couple friends. Just to have them, you know.

Like Lloyd and his friends. [ ...jealous? Maybe a little bit. ]

I'm all right with not having many friends.

[In fact, he doesn't really want any, but it's becoming harder to refuse Genis and Lloyd...]

[ Well, Genis doesn't really know that Mithos just didn't want them as friends. But he's alright with having Mithos all too himself so his face lights up with a smile. ]

If you're sure! I don't want you to be lonely if I ever--[ He pauses for a brief moment. He didn't want to think about leaving. ]
