[The full moon had come during the middle of the flood, so Lloyd had completely forgotten to look for the Otherworldly Gate again. With his opportunity passed, and with so much else to do to help clean the city up, he hasn't really been actively looking for the Gate, or anyone who might have come through it. He still isn't looking as trudges down a muck-strewn street in Somni, his arms full of things he thinks he can salvage-
-until a glimpse of auburn hair, caught from the corner of his eye, makes him turn his head.
[ Kratos heard the clattering far before he heard Lloyd's voice. Instinctively, he reached for his sword and pulled it out. He spun on his heel and turned around, ready to attack whoever had been brazen enough to yes, sneak up on him. His gaze settled on Lloyd not too far away.
Brow raised, he lowered his sword, but didn't put it away completely. ] ... Lloyd.
Didn't I tell you it would be wise not to stand behind me? Hmph... [ and he's finally putting the sword away with a small, almost relieved, sigh ]
From our world, of course. When you left Somarium, I figured you must have found a way back home, but you didn't have time to tell anyone else what it was.
Huh? [He blinks. Did he hear that last part right?] That's how I got here, remember? [He thought he'd explained that to you.]
[ Kratos slowly shakes his head. Had he found something about the Gate in Raine's books? How would he know about the other world, then? Kratos is a bit tense right now, it's fine. ]
You're mistaken... [ He keeps a calm, stoic expression for the time-being ] If this is some sort of practical joke...
[Lloyd's brow furrows, bristling just a little at the unwarranted accusation.]
I'm not playing games! [He gestures sharply at the devastation around them.] Maybe you weren't here for the flood, but I was, and I've been helping clean things up since it stopped!
[Lloyd stares at Kratos for a moment, then answers slowly. He's still not sure what Kratos wants. Does he just want to know more than what Lloyd told him the first time?]
Regal mentioned it first, then Professor Raine found out where it was. She said that was how she got to Sylvarant. Her and Genis.
-until a glimpse of auburn hair, caught from the corner of his eye, makes him turn his head.
Wha-?
The whole world stops. His eyes go wide.
And everything clatters to the ground.]
K-Kratos!

You're back!

[ Kratos offers Lloyd a skeptical stare before letting his arms come to cross over his chest. ] It would do you good to explain ... I don't follow.

You found a way out and now you're back! Did you find the Otherworldly Gate?

Back from where, Lloyd? And what about the Otherworldly Gate? How did you hear about that?

What do you mean? I'm mistaken about what? What's a practical joke?

[ Kratos sighs and covers his face with his hand because this is not good. The night before the Chosen was to finish her journey and now this? ]
And neither do you.

Then why are you speaking nonsense?

[Frustrated, he runs a hand through his hair. This is giving him a headache, Kratos.]
