[Well this place turned to shit fast. When they had noticed the water was climbing at an unusual rate they had both decided to stay awake and watch purely out of curiosity. Neither had expected it to get this bad- and it's not like it was even normal water. It was black.

They had made it to higher ground, or, well, building, once their apartment got flooded and noticed others were doing the same. But there were a lot of people unaccounted for as well as what appeared to be all the locals, and Drake wasn't about to sit around with his thumb up his ass while everything just plays out before him. Especially when there was some creepy girl's voice that could be heard every once in a while.

As per usual he had to go about checking this odd series of events out and was all ready to head off when Elena came running up behind him.

Of course. Ever the persistent girl that she was, and far too stubborn for her own good, he reluctantly accepted her company. Not that he ever disliked it, but he would rather her some place safe. Warm. And not tagging along where he would likely get them both into some sort of trouble.

Truth be told, though, there was no one else he would rather rely on even if he did worry. She was quite capable of taking care of herself despite his fretting. Which was something he tried to keep a lid on.

Because, really, there wasn't a good enough reason for him to be so over-protective. It's not like they were dating or even had feelings for each other. Right? Right.

Well, currently they were in Somni, the city section of Somarium, and the place with the tallest buildings which allowed for a little more mobility from one point to the next. Unfortunately getting soaked is inevitable.]

Last chance. It's not too late to go back and join in on the exciting rooftop parties.

[And, yes, it almost sounded like he was trying to convince a child. Not intentional.]
