Lacus stood by the window and watched the activity outside in the city of Somni, inside the apartment she now shared with Kira. She had never expected Athrun to arrive here of all times. Earlier, she had seen those creatures called, Noctaere, and they were unlike any creature she had ever seen. Kira assured her that it will be alright, and Lacus believed that Kira will always do his best to keep his promise to protect her. However, Lacus knew that she also needed to be strong in this new world as she was in their old one.
She felt surprisingly young compared to Athrun and Kira now. They were two years her senior and she was used to being older than them by a few months. It was disconcerting. Kira and her never really talked about what happened in the past or what had happened in her future. They were going to start a home here. However, Athrun lookeda bit troubled when he told her that there was something that he needed to speak to her and Kira about.
If it was something that would make Athrun feel this troubled, then she that this had something to do with what will happen in her future. Dare she find out? She clasped her hands together and closed her eyes in prayer, hoping that their fighting in the war had not been in vain.
Kira went out to pick up Athrun, all she could do was wait and hope that the creatures had not done them any harm.
