I believe this is yours. [cue 100 megawatt smile as he presents the dripping strip of cloth. Feel free to ogle the bare chest peeking out from that button-down shirt, honey, because he has absolutely no qualms about checking out yours. ;D
Also, may not recognize you just yet (because of sun + pair of shades obscuring his vision) but there is definitely something about you that he finds very, very attractive.]

When the handsome man approaches, Naomi sits up with a single thin arm covering herself as she pushes the dark sunglasses onto the top of her head. There is something strikingly familiar about Flynn, but she hasn't quite put two and two together yet. Considering the large amount of residents the social butterfly speaks with daily, it likely isn't a surprise that it will take another moment or two for her to identify him.]
My hero, [the woman jokingly purrs with a chuckle.] I didn't even have to ask.

[Why do you look older? Are his eyes deceiving him? No, he is pretty sure he would recognize that chest voice anywhere. His memory tended to retain the ones that once whispered sweet nothings into his ear.]

Her dark-haired head tilts curiously at Flynn as she observes him. The connection is made.] Eugene? Well, imagine running into you again like this.
[Her thin shoulder shrug, drawing obvious attention to her clutched at chest.] Isn`t this just like the last time we met? Half-dressed, I mean.

[And good part? Sorry, dear Flynn, but not today.
In response to his question, woman waves the slender fingers of her left hand at the man, showing off two delicate and shiny rings to him.] I don't think my husband would appreciate that.

[noooo Flynn doesn't want to have to deal with any jealous spouses right now]

No, no. Not at all. [At least not yet exactly.] I was too young for that.

[oops, nearly forgot! handing it over now] Is the husband anyone I know?

[How long was that deep-voiced man casting a shadow over Flynn? The lofty, slim and intimidating man is tall enough to blot out the sun and create his own shade. Though his fashion sense appears more appropriate for Sherlock Holmes than a modern-day sleuth, he donned a pair of dark, mirrored sunglasses to doubly shield himself from the bright midday glare (his impressive hat provided half the protection). Now, he pulls the sunglasses from his face and drops the glasses in his breast pocket.
A slim gold band, the perfect match to Naomi's, glimmers on the fourth finger of his left hand.
Javert grimaces at Flynn unreadably, a single brow arched so high that it disappears under the brim of his hat. He folds his arms across his broad chest.]
You say there is something I would not appreciate. What is it?

Flynn glances over his shoulder.
And takes a moment to stare.]
.......Javert?
[the dots have not been connected yet. He is still wondering how on earth anyone could go out fully-clothed on a day like this.]

[Javert's unsettling gaze refers briefly to Naomi as she finishes making herself decent. Is that just Flynn's imagination, or is that pinch at the corner of Javert's mouth vaguely amused? His tone does not seem to indicate either way.]
Is he giving you trouble, Madame?
Reply
No, not quite yet, but if he does I'll allow you to take him away.
Reply
Now hold on just a- Trouble? Me? We were just talking, honest!
[he shifts a suspicious look between the pair before deciding to keep it trained on Javert, who seemed to be the more unpredictable one]
"Take me away"... that's a little harsh now, Naomi. [as the words leave his mouth, realization dawns upon him. Javert had this nasty air about him during that week, an air that stank of law and justice. It was still there and this time, Flynn was no agent of his.
Delicately, he says:] You're still working for the law, Sir?

And you are not.
[Don't think he has not forgotten your background, Flynn. He is aware that although the information gained from any of Somarium's strange alternate life stints is false, it is rarely completely off the mark. Perhaps there is something sordid and criminal in this boy's past, just as Eugene had been scraped off the streets for use as a double agent. Javert eventually concedes with a very slight bow of his head.]
Indeed, I always have. I am Chief Inspector of this city.
[Just you try and avoid that direct and scrutinizing stare, Flynn.]
What work do you do?
