AU EVENT 2011: 1920s NOIR

First, new players! Let me call your attention to the most recent Moon Cycle post. This will help you understand a little of what's going to happen next week. As for this week, your characters are affected in the sense that they will find themselves in 1920s fashion within hours of arriving, if not immediately

♥Naomi Hunter -> The beautiful, young Naomi (aged down to twenty-five for this event) grew up as an extremely intelligent woman who simply did not have the opportunities to head down a professional career path. So when her two older brothers (the twins solidarity and hunt_jackals) went off to war, she was left alone and had to find some way to take care of and provide for herself. It was then that she began to mix into the world of gangsters, using her looks to grab the eyes (and money!) of some very wealthy mobsters who enjoyed her company and attention. It was then that she picked up a job as a Burlesque dancer at Mama Mille's Speakeasy.

Now, she's risen in ranks to be the star of the stage and her name is well known in all of the right circles throughout the city. Though many she interacts with may be unaware of her incredibly powerful position, Naomi holds a hell of a lot of sway and revenue over members of the mob, though she is currently also secretly slipping her hands into the feds' deep pockets at the same time. Her true loyalties are unknown to most and very vague to the rest, but she's managed to find a lasting partner in her newest lover, a federal agent by the name of Javert. Naomi, who has amassed quite the database of 'customers', is more than happy to share the info she acquires with him and has become a kind of informant for the man.

Though they are now engaged to be married within the month, their relationship is a (hopefully) complete secret because they are both aware of just how dangerous of a position they are both in. It wouldn't do good to have one of them offed before the wedding and their escape out of the city.

WHO I WANT NAOMI TO MOST INTERACT WITH:
-> Regular customers to the speakeasy: I would love to have men around the club who are both familiar with Naomi and her act. Or even men trying to buy some sexy time alone with her backstage in her dressing room.
-> Mobsters who may be just the slightest bit suspicious of the woman and her true intentions: If you are up for this, I think it can happen one of two ways- they can either attempt to figure out what is going on with her/feed her incorrect information to throw off the feds or Naomi can 'tame' them (AKA seduce and make happy) till their suspicions disappear.

♥Franziska von Karma -> Franziska, the biological sister to Miles Edgeworth, is a young woman who was raised in wealth and born to be in control of great power. Following along in the footsteps of her father and her older brother, the fiery young woman is doing her best to grab more control from the world than women are usually allowed in this time period. Though only twenty years of age, she is already making a name for herself, though that is likely because of the influence her older brother possesses.

She also doesn't have her whip around, though there may or may not be a pistol hidden on her person instead.

WHO I WANT FRANZISKA TO MOST INTERACT WITH:
-> Honest people in power: Franziska does not want to speak with mobsters or anyone who deals in crime, but she would love to interact with federal agents or those in the military.
-> People who want to use her: Go on. Try it. She's just a weak little woman, right?

♥Jean Valjean ->A religious man since the tragic death of his young wife, Valjean is now an old, wealthy widower who lives alone with his two daughters. HE IS ALSO THE MAYOR OF 1920'S SOMNI CITY!

WHO I WANT VALJEAN TO MOST INTERACT WITH:
-> Religious individuals who may share his detain in all of these illegal activities.
-> Family and friends of family, his daughters especially.

♥Future Luke ->Clive's history (for there can not be TWO Luke Tritons, so his name will be changed for this AU) is still under construction, but the one thing for sure is that he will be an up and coming reporter always on the scoop! He may not be Layton's apprentice in this lifetime, but he still cares for and respects the man. Clive visits the man often for smalltalk, puzzles, and tea.

WHO I WANT CLIVE TO MOST INTERACT WITH:
-> Big stars! Hey, reporters gotta start somewhere, right?
-> Anyone with big plots that would like newspaper coverage! CLIVE IS SO UP FOR THAT.

Is it safe to assume Valjean got a bodyguard for his adventurous eight year old who has the habit of talking to ANYONE?

Oh! Also, for Luke, I'm making Aurora "Miss Somarium" three years in a row and a noted opera singer.

I think I might make Goemon something of a regular at the speakeasy (he doesn't have much to do these days aside from guarding Lilly,) but he'll likely carry himself as he wants nothing to do with the place or at least, anyone else in it. Knowing him, he will probably make a habit of sitting at the counter with his back to dancers (especially when the men starting whistling,) have some drink (nothing too fancy since he's always a little short on cash,) listen to music and eavesdrop on conversations. For a 'disinterested' guy, he comes back pretty often. XD

Considering his background with random mob bosses, would you say that Goemon may or may not have some secret information that Naomi could attempt to steal~?

I would love for there to be some CR between Jean and Tsuna's family/organization.

Tsuna's dad started a vigilante protection agency to fight gov corruption and to protect people from the rampant gang violence. When his father was literally stabbed in the back by an ally, Tsuna (at 14) was forced to take over Daddy's business. He works hard to stay on the right side of the law. But when that law is not protecting the people it's supposed to, he wont hesitate to break the law in the name of true Justice.

Tsuna has some connections with Javert and Edgeworth too, so if you want to throw Franziska at him that's fine with me too~ just trying to build lots of CR

That sounds absolutely fantastic! We can definitely work Valjean and Franziska into meeting up with Tsuna and having connections there.

Hurrah! oh, I should mention that Tsuna and Alice went to the same school for a few years before Tsuna was pulled out. And that they remain friends. So that might be a possible way for him to have connections with Valjean.

I'm not sure how he would know Franziska. Other than possibly having met her once when visiting Edgeworth or somehow through edgeworth. OTL noo idea.

OOH, if he is a close friend to Alice, then Valjean definitely knows him!

And yeah, we can use Edgeworth for Franzy/Tsuna meeting and interactions. 8D
