AU EVENT 2011: 1920s NOIR

First, new players! Let me call your attention to the most recent Moon Cycle post. This will help you understand a little of what's going to happen next week. As for this week, your characters are affected in the sense that they will find themselves in 1920s fashion within hours of arriving, if not immediately

Tamaki Suoh | spectaculaire

Okay, basically Tamaki's history is reversed from his canon history with some other changes. First, he's father is French and his mother is Japanese, so his name will be René Tamaki Richard Grantaine during the event. His parents are also legit married, so none of that family tension xD If anyone wants to fill in the family roles, I'll totally be happy to work it out. The fact that he the only son and heir from a wealthy, business family remains true, so he'll also be working on becoming the next leader for the family business. I have no idea what they do, maybe managing/administration/education stuff like in canon.

Another thing to note is he's engaged with the oh so lovely ootorospring! EXPECT GREAT WEDDING PLANS. But no actual wedding fff.

As for other character connections, I know I've talked to a few people from the previous AU planning post about characters working/being friends/socially related to him, and I'll try and make an actual list for myself later, but if anyone wants to be added onto that or help me out with some more details, feel free to comment!

Ace | knightofchanges

As mentioned before, Ace will be a psycho serial killer. Still not sure how to exactly play this out. I'll be more than happy to kill of any characters if the players want me to (I know I got unfearful on the hit list), but otherwise I think it would just be general knowledge that he's wanted.

So he's known and wanted by the police, except he kind of has a "dual identity" going on without really trying. When he kills, he wears a mask to obscure his face and wears all red (really similar to how he normally dresses in canon). He goes right for the heart, using either a gun or a sword. Yes. A sword. Another distinguishing feature! He also leaves behind a sort of "calling card"-literally a bloody red "Ace of Hearts" playing card with a masked smile on the other side, haha. But during the day he looks normal, so it's really like a Dr. Jekyll, Mr. Hyde sort of deal.

As far as I know, he's also currently working for the Nightray Mafia Family and has a sister-toyingwith. Who is also crazy. (Amanda, is there anything else you wanted to work with about their history and stuff?) But he's also kind of a "mercenary hitman" who will happily take up other side jobs to "kill" time. Remember when I mentioned the heart thing? He will sometimes take it back as proof of completing the job. Or the head. Depends on who he's working for.

If anyone wants their character offed or have some connection/ties to him, I'll be happy to plot with you! Again, characters who are in the underground or also in the killing business are free to either know of or actually know Ace.

Cid Highwind | smokesinspace

He's a cranky pilot who smokes and drinks tea. ...Wait, that's not much different is it? As usual, he'll be sticking with aviation and will be working on the next "flight innovation."

Flight crew is welcomed! I know I talked with Mart about Jake, and I think Aerith is going to be his daughter if Lili is still up for it! But if anyone else wants to be related to Cid in some way, just let me know.

Shizuo Heiwajima | hatesviolence

I'm still a little confused on what's going on, but one thing I do know is that Shizuo is some kind of bodyguard! Jan, Zetsu, Annabelle, what are we doing ffff.

At that's all I got. He'll still have his ridiculous strength since it's all natural, so expect people thrown and-well there aren't any vending machines, but there are still sign posts!

Death the Kid (soulsymmetrical) is going to remain unaffected, so he'll still have all his powers and such. Tetheus (stoicsoldier)...I'm still on the fence. I'll probably plop him into the military, but since he's still pretty new, it may be better if I leave him unaffected. ...Maybe he'll still wander over there even if he's set as visitor status xD

Also, what is Ace doing with Dominic's body after (THIS IS A RELEVANT QUESTION)?

I STILL VOTE REAL MORTICIAN TO HIDE BODIES. MAYBE. Or an actual clock/watch repairman dude. Maybe he works on one of the huge clock towers!

Or be unaffected and wonder why Ace is still clinging onto him because in Ace's AU he still knows Julius anyway HURR.

UH. I HONESTLY am not sure....dump it on Julius' desk I mean what. Probably leave it. After taking his heart. Mmm heart. ...Actually. Depending on WHY he killed Domninic, if we're going with the "Dominic worked for Break, Break annoyed Ace somehow, Dominic pays for it" then maybe Ace leaves Dominic on Break's desk with his heart in a nice gift wrapped jar? :D

Garnet's Daddy and Tamaki's Daddy should be business associates -- some sort of mutual contract of some kind (one company sells products to the other, or some such) that's fairly long standing. Enough that the two kids have met several times. XD
