aggg
I keep on accumalating offers to got do various undergraduate research experience type things, but the problem is that I don't have anything in particular I want to research.
Well, maybe I do, but going to school makes me forget what I want to research (ooh, the irony). That's the problem with being an undergrad. You don't get time to concentrate on your interests, unless you're super organized.
Welll, I guess that the schools that do these REU things get what they want: extremely dedicated and organized students. Undergrads are too scatterbrained to have a focused research interest for the most part and these programs allow the schools to promote their grad programs to the best of the best.
Suck.
I'm going to have to pick my quantum professor's brain to find out how to get into the field. I like Quantum; I just don't like any specific part of it enough to research it. Well, at least I'm at UNM, where someone else at least thinks quantum is important enough to research.
Hmmm... research to me means experiments. I wonder if any of these programs will allow me to sit around and theorize myself out of existance. And GET PAYD!
