a nana dream
I don't dream a lot about my Nana (dad's mom), when I have it's usually that she's still among us and I'm the only one aware she passed away in December of 2009. Last night, she came to me in a dream. She was sitting in my bed, and she was naked for some reason but kept herself covered by crossing her limbs over her body. She was speaking to Vidal and I about my mom, telling us that we need to make sure she's okay and insisting on asking her advice on things about our baby.
The naked part didn't strike me as too weird (tho it should've), it was the fact that I could understand her and how coherent she was. When she passed away, Nana knew maybe 5 words in English and she was very senile. In the dream, she was speaking with a heavy accent but not stuttering, not speaking slowly, not losing her train of thought. It was good to hear her speak and to see her, even if it was weird. I asked my mom how she was doing and she said she's fine but I always worry about her. Maybe my Nana wants me to ask mom for the advice Nana cannot give me now, cos mom does talk about things Nana would say about kids and babies. I don't know why Nana didn't talk about my dad at all or for sure what this dream means but it was good to see my Nana again.
