Last year I tried Mel's 50 books in a year challenge. I read 48 so I'm trying again this year.
November really slowed me down because I worked on the novel all month. Owencreature has started revising his novel and I think today it finally occurred to me how to rework mine...but that's another story.
The other night while working at the library I devised a new way to pick out a new book to read. Next time you're at the library conduct a "Subject Keyword" search starting with a state name, two dashes and then fiction. Example: "Virginia -- fiction." Turns out there's over 400 of such entries in our library's catalog for Georgia. 58 titles for Iowa and 552 for Colorado. I need a new book so I'll start with Maine, 292 titles. Kind of random, but maybe it will help broaden my horizons.
In other news:
-Tomorrow I get to sub in the auto tech class at the local vo tech high school. Fun times!
-The seasons are changing and I'm glad. I was tired of winter.
-McNally, are you home yet?
