The Suns Comin Up, The Day Has Just Begun, and You're Already Bored

I feel like this summer is going to be a good summer. I'm working 40 hours per week at a job I actually don't mind going to every morning (even waking up at 6:30 for). I work with friends at Transylvania's Paint Crew. It's a physically demanding job, but I get to listen to my music. It does get tiring... Some days I can't even stay awake to do anything after work. I went to bed 8 the other night. But a 500 dollar paycheck every two weeks for what I do just makes the job entirely worthwhile.

And then next month will be a big month. I'll be turning 21 and becoming an uncle all in the same section of time (my sister is due on my birthday). We'll be celebrating in Madison, WI at the Nitty Gritty, somewhat of a tradition for our family whenever one of us turns 21. It encompasses a free birthday mug full of a beer of my choice and some sort of announcement to the rest of the restaurant. My family and Seabass will be there. It's going to be awesome. And I will be 21... That feels so weird to me. Chad told me the other day that he is excited for us to go out to the bars once I become of age, and for some reason I got really excited.

Yes, I feel like this will be a good summer. I've been more focused than ever on writing, especially song writing - due to my over fascination with Bright Eyes and Conor Oberst at the moment. I bought tickets to see him in Louisville at the end of the month. That's going to be great. And besides that I've been putting down on a calender certain events instead of just saying we will do them and it never happening. June 27th is Newport Aquarium. I need to put down other events as soon as I get everyones schedule... I have so many things I want to do this summer. I feel as if they will be finally getting done. And I wrote up another to do list:
    • Write a song
    • See a concert (Conor Oberst and the Mystic Valley Band June 30th)
    • Keep excercising on the Wii Fit
    • Write some short stories
    • Read atleast 3 books (Twilight does not count)
    • Get out of debt
    • Go camping once or twice
    • See Sara in Illinois
    • Mammoth Cave trip
    • Newport Aquarium
    • Fix my car (Windshield wipers, side panel, door handle)
I still have room to write something else down. Again, it's going to be the summer of getting things done and having fun at the same time, as well as making some money for this upcoming semester. And no more big purchases - Europe and Wii Fit have drained me.

So let's just take it from there.

work, music, friends, school, summer, sara
