Busy weekend
Friday Luke passed his written exam to get his learners driving licence. He has done so much studying for it, I was sure there would be no problem. But I have since spent most of the weekend taking him out in my car giving him driving lessons! Its an automatic, so he got the hang pretty quickly. I have already let them drive round the paddock several times before, so he knew the controls OK. Next step will be getting him some lessons in a manual car, because gears add a whole new dimension to it, and suddenly you have to think about a lot of different things at once, and stay on the road!
My brother moved out on Saturday. Spent most of the morning until about 1pm taking trailer loads of stuff from his storage container at my place, to his new house. Thank goodness its only a few ks down the road! Its a lovely place, and nice having him close, but not too close. So, house to ourselves again...
Until Wednesday, when my dad arrives back from England, and is possibly staying until September! He may have to go stay on my brother's pull out couch some of the time, just so we all get a break/change of scenery.
And the cats are still at my place, as they have a dog at the place my brother is renting... Hopefully my dad can find a more permanent home for them.
