Lost week
Where has the last week gone? Sheesh, it was Monday and then suddenly I was leaving work last night and starting my weekend.
Part of the busyness has been the lack of one counselor (we're in the process of interviewing for another) and two of my other coworkers have been extremely ill with the creeping grunge. They have the respiratory sort of flu and sound and looked horrible. Both had to almost be handcuffed and taken out of work to get the hint they should be at home and not at work. They finally caved in and were gone most of the week. Add to that C having to be in central Oregon at that program one day....and well, you have a worn out crew!
Of course the weather this weekend is not looking good. G and I might try to watch the Portland Urban Iditarod tomorrow, but even more tempting is to head over the mountains and into Hood River and the Dalles. Sometimes the weather is a wee bit better there (meaning no rain maybe). We'll see what tomorrow is like.
Not much else new at this end of the LJ. Had dinner with my oldest daughter and youngest last night...which was nice. She made a great Caesar salad and I finally got to see "American Gangster." Not one of Denzell's or Rusell's greatest movies, but it was interesting. Of course I had to look up the "true" story on this guy and ended up ordering the book that inspired the movie.
So I am going to go iron some clothes and finish cleaning my house, then go get my oil changed in the car and think about heading up to Portland. Hope you all have good weekends!
