"Make a list of all the characters in your icons. (Although you may have more than one icon of a single character, they only go on the list once.) Alphabetize it. Take the first two people on the list; that's your first pairing. Second two people; second pairing, etc. Treat us to some commentary once you're done."
Bruce Banner & Jadzia Dax
They are both scientists with dry senses of humor, so I could maybe see this working. I'm not sure though. Jadzia seems more into aliens with see-through skulls and people who can practice batleth fighting with her in the holosuite. Bruce would probably find her fascinating, given Dax and all. Maybe they could be science buddies.
Sherlock Holmes & Aaron Hotchner
This just wouldn't work at all. Sherlock is uninterested in relationships and Hotch has always struck me as straighter than a board. Plus Sherlock would just follow the team around all the time, CSI-Baker Street-ing all over the place and driving them crazy. He'd call them all morons, except maybe Reid. I could see him getting along with Reid.
Kira Nerys & Leonard McCoy
Oh, be still, my heart! This pairing makes no sense, but I still love it, probably because of how much I love both characters and think they are the best ever. Realistically, they'd yell at each other all the time and then McCoy would find out all the details of Kira's former terrorist activities and disapprove. And then Kira would be all "I do what I want!" and walk out. Or something.
Leia Organa & Christopher Pike
I don't even know. I can't think of any reason they'd be terrible together, mostly because I barely know anything about Pike as a person.
Amy Pond & Steve Rogers
Yes. Steve's an all-around nice guy and a bit of a dweeb, like Rory, and Amy's an ass-kicker and a firebrand like Peggy. It could totally work! I think I might ship it now, actually...
Ben Sisko & Sarah Jane Smith
This.. is an odd one. I think that Sarah's journalistic idealism might make Ben somewhat nervous, in light of the types of things he is willing to do and hide in order to win the war, but at the same time, I think he might be impressed by her for the same reasons. I'm really not sure. I can't see them as anything other than professional colleagues, perhaps.
Han Solo & Tony Stark
Oh, man. The two main actor crushes of my life collide! I think they'd probably hate each other, or team up and take over the universe. They're basically the same person, or at least the same type of character, when you think about it.
