Adobe was barely aware of her surroundings, let alone that she was being spoken to again. Thankfully it registered far quicker than it had with Niji, though, and she let out a faint sigh while scratching the back of her neck beneath her frayed, falling apart braid ( ... )

"... She's drugged, isn't she?" Phantasy asked quietly as she lead. "She's not quite dreaming. Her mind wasnts to but something's depressing it... It's... She's seeing nothing but blood..." Phantasy finished lamely. It was too difficult to convey the feeling of being brought to one's breaking point and then pushed over it by seeing (or feeling) death.

Sam listened to Adobe's explanation, his eyes turning to not just an expression of sympathy, but true empathy. He'd been in that place once. Needing a way out, and having only one person that could be that for you. He'd nearly slipped away, but he had escaped. A little over ten years ago. Phantasy's commentary pulled him out of his reverie. "Yes, she is. It's just a standard sedative. Assuming she has a normal metabolism, she should be coming out of it soon," he said, taking a moment to press his fingers against her wrist. He seemed satisfied, and he held her the same as before. When she awoke, he would have to make sure to look after her ears. Among... whatever other problems that encounter had created for her.

"I could use some of that stuff myself, but I'll even settle for a decent sleep at this point..." Adobe sighed, dragging a hand across her tired, aching eyes.

She watched Sam's movements with a slight level of distraction, glancing away once he seemed finished, but quickly looking back when a new movement caught her attention. Ahmie's fingers were twitching, and her arm moved a little.

"Um. Doc. I think our patient is already waking up."

"She's in a beta level of consciousness," Phantasy said, hoping the information could be helpful in some way. "I can keep her there until we get to Lady Kasuga's room, if it would help..."
