Characters: Rosa
Content: Rosa arrives in the city. (This post is only an introduction; from here she'll probably tag Archturous' post.)
Setting: Airport
Warnings: None.

This was no time to panic. Sure, Rosa was lost. She was more than likely not anywhere in Germany; the building she was in was completely barren and unfamiliar. The electronic monitors that had once displayed arrival and departure times no longer functioned, but from the signs pointing to different gates and terminals and the typically uncomfortable chairs scattered around the room, she assumed it was something like a train station.

There was something on a lanyard around her neck, and when she examined it, it was even more unfamiliar than her surroundings. It was small and metallic, and when she managed to flip it open, there was a keypad reminiscent of a typewriter on the lower half, and a smooth glass surface on most of the upper half. What exactly this device was, she hadn't the foggiest clue. She shut it again and left it where it was; maybe it would come in handy. Or, if it was something valuable, maybe she could sell it. She'd need some way to pay for a train ticket back to Germany. Possibly even a boat ride, depending on exactly how far away she was.

Before she could start walking in any direction, she heard something else. Something... skittering? It sounded like the sort of movement an animal might make. She looked in every direction, but could see nothing, and that only made her more nervous. After waiting a few moments, she realized that if something else was in here, standing around waiting for it to show itself wouldn't do any good. It would be better to get out of this building and find another person, somebody who could help her.

She started walking, her footsteps echoing loudly off the walls.
