Content: Morning at the fountain
Setting: The fountain
Warnings: beautiful women and strong men, or is it beautiful men and strong women, or maybe just both.
Niji woke early and satisfied. She had cornered the Flicker and gotten him to agree to attending the conference. It sounded as though all of his people would be there, but they all seemed to have odd eating habits. The Flicker would not eat meat, much like one of the monks from her home. He was gracious about claiming to be able to provide for himself if it were an issue.
She slipped from the bed softly, leaving Ghost as undisturbed as she could. The food from the day before was helping a bit, and she seemed to be keeping it down. She padded down the stairs and stirred up the fire, heating water for a morning wash and for tea. She felt oddly domestic rooting through the pantry for some kind of breakfast. Rice of course, perhaps some of these preserved fruits?
Breakfast started, a quick bath done, Niji relaxed and just enjoyed the peace of the morning.
