Kame reminds me of my FATHER...

At least when he's talking about his past XD

His admission of how he used to collect his dad's empty beer bottles to sell for 3-5 yen a bottle and used that money to buy some snacks on his way home sounds exactly like my dad's stories of his youth. Except my dad collected...wood? And sold it at marketplace and used it to buy dried persimmons or a bowl of soup and would be ridiculously happy when there was a small bit of meat at the bottom. Which happened exactly once. And he still talks about it while passing on the roast duck because he's watching his cholesterol. How the world has changed.

So whichever fansite said that Kame's family is middle-class/well-off is mistaken. In the Dec 2006 issue of Cool, Kame also goes on about how getting a baseball glove for Christmas was the ultimate happiness because there were so many children his parents had to get things for in his family (with the implication that money was stretched very tight). And how the family would buy sweets from the store and that would be their Christmas present. And that a child is still able to understand, for the most part, his family's situation. Plus, he admits that he got into baseball partly because his father was actually willing to spend money on him in that area. He was attracted to the shiny new baseball equipment XP

Um...I really don't have a point. Except that I can't think about Akame right now because it makes me think about my father. AWKWARD, especially in sex scenes. Gah.

Oh, and LIPS. I liked it at first listen, thought it was too busy by the third, and now find it very very amusing because I can picture the choreography to the first half minute of the song. Lots of cool posing while Kame sings then they *burst out into unsynchronized, hip-swirling dance*!!!. Oh, JE. ♥ ♥ ♥
