IT fairy needed...

Solving all kinds of technical problems on my own literally turns my hair grey. Esp if all my attempts seem useless. I got the suspicion about something being wrong with either my discman or my CD burner (or both) after I discovered that the discman has got a problem with playing two of the recently burned CD's. The sound was way too jumpy at times ( Read more... )

sometimes i have issues with discs as well. sometimes it has nothing to do with the burner or the player but the discs themselves. sometimes faulty stack. which sucks because it is a waste of time and annoying. hopefully the issues you are having are fixed.

some good music tastes there btw:)

yes, the issues could be caused by faulty disc as well, I hadn't used that kind of CD blanks before, and got that stack just because it was cheap and I was in urgent need of blanks. no wonder that cheap stuff might have a cheap quality as well. today I tried burning one more CD after using the lens cleaner on the CD-rom, maybe the problem was caused by some dust in it... will check out later if that CD came out good, hopefully so!
thanks, I can tell that you've got a pretty good taste in music yourself (from what I read on your LJ profile page). I love HIM, Nick Cave, Nightwish, Rammstein and Apocalyptica, they all rawk!^^

Yeah, sometimes machines just have to act up... maybe getting old or something. Even though my discman is like 1.5 years old only. Maybe there was some minor error while those two problematic CD's were burned though, as the discman has been playing everything else all right...

Annoying indeed... Luckily I figured out the problem with my CD burner, it must have been about the CD blanks I used, and which were obviously with poor quality. i used another kind of blanks last time, and finally the CD's came out good and playable again :)
