Witches in Writing

Hi everybody!! I'm brand new here, so in introduction, my name is Jamie and I've been a Solitary Wiccan for about 3 years. I love writing, especially in the genre of fantasy, and a story I'm working on now includes one character who's a witch. I want to give her more powers than Pagans like us have in the real world, but I don't want to go quite so far as the full-on lightning-shooting-out-of-fingertips stuff. I've had her explain to other, "normal" characters that magic is merely energy that can be directed and influenced to produce a certain result, and that witches (in the world of the story) are people born with the natural ability to use their bodies as channels for this energy to a far greater extent than normal people. Now I'm just stuck on how much power to give her. I've thought about her being able to influence the weather and, to a moderate extent, the elements, and maybe be able to communicate with others over long distances through impressions of thoughts that she sends through systems of roots in the ground using the energy of the plants, but that's as far as I've gone with it. Just wanted to get some ideas from other Wiccans, if anyone has any :) And if not, thanks for reading anyway, blessed be!
P.S. If you're a fellow Wiccan writer, maybe friend me so we can chat
