Delurking with a question about baby gifts.
One of my best friends called and let me know today that she's pregnant. It's one of those practically-hit-over-the-head-with-a-frying-pan, what-do-you-mean-you-honestly-had-no-clue-you-were-this-pregnant?! types of things. I'm a fiber crafter, so I'm going to be crocheting an blanket for the baby. I only have 3 months to get it done, but I've had stricter deadlines for bigger projects, so that doesn't worry me. Since mom's a witch and dad's got about 100 years of family tradition witchcraft on his side, I'd like to incorporate an all-around type of health blessing into the actual making of the blanket, maybe even some protection types of spells. I asked my friend and she's actually quite eager to have any kind of blessing, protection spell, or charm on it that I can manage. In this situation, what kinds of things might some of you incorporate?
