Monica: What are you reading?
Emma: (quietly) Smut.
Monica takes the book and reads the back cover
Boris: What?
Emma: Normal volume, blushing furiously Smut.
Boris: What is smut? He takes the book Oh. Porn.
Me: Oh sure you know what that is.
Boris: Of course. So this is smut?
Jaya: Ooooh, did you get it off the internet?
Emma: I'm ending this conversation now. Give me back my book which I purchased in a perfectly respectable store.
Monica: It's a Harlequin.
Jaya: What respectable stores sells those? Those are sold in low class establishments, like Market Basket [local grocery chain].
Emma: I get mine at Target.
Jaya: I rest my case.
Emma: Conversation ending now.
Boris: Yes. Leave the smut alone.
